For a gallon of gas....that's ridiculous!!!

I always laugh at these stupid ridiculous threads on every forum I'm on. LOLOL

In teh UK Fuel is $2.23 per litre which makes my fill $200.89 to fill a tank of fuel!!! now thats sore considering teh Average wage in this country is about $525 per week!!!!

Recently moved out to England. It's roughly $8.75 a gallon here. What an absolute killer. Luckily, I don't have to drive very far for things (and there's an ok train system here, not the best though). I've also tried to walk and cycle more since getting here. Still, when I have to fill up, I feel a bit of my soul dying.

And just think, the ground is charging no more for this crude than it did 50 years ago...:dunno:

You guys need the GasBuddy app for finding cheaper gas prices in your area. For example, check out much I could overpay by going to the wrong station:

Nothing burns me more then overpaying for gas!

I drive a Nissan Leaf - 100% electric and loving it. No more gas for me! For folks who drive less than 100 miles a day, the Leaf may work for you. It costs about $3 in electricity to go 100 miles. Here's mine at a free public charger.

You are not counting the $8,000 we all chipped in towards the rebate you got, so you could afford to buy that electric car.

Not to mention that "FREE" charging stations are frequently paid for using our tax dollars as well.

4.15 a gallon for sunoco premium here in albany new york. i remember when it was right around a buck a gallon, gotta love taxes, and the economy being in the toilet.

Its been around $3.20 for 9/10th gallon here in Northern Nevada USA

BTW have you guys here in the states ever notice the 9/10 after the price lol we arent even getting a full gallon... Scam artists

The fraction after the price has nothing to do with the amount of fuel. It relates to the price. Example $3.19 9/10 = $3.199. You don't see the add cost when buying a single gallon. But when buying multiple gallons it adds up. Just sly way for oil companies to increase revenue.

fixed

government makes about 50 cents a gallon, the oil company makes about 5 cents per gallon.

So let me get this straight your trying to tell me that an oil company only makes 5 cents a gallon profit? Maybe you are refering to the gas station?

I believe i filled up for $4.35 this morning for Premium (93). Sucks having a large tank, $68.00 for approx. 3/4 tank, and that lasts me about 4 days of my commute.

My mothers Toyota Matrix (1.8L) fills up for about $36.00 full tank and lasts up to about 330 miles trip.

Chicago, Illinois

damn i feel retarded... Ive thought that the 9/10th was for the gallon not 9/10th a cent for years lol.

It is $3.37 a gallon here. I do find it funny the amount of misinformation about who is making what on a gallon of gas.
