I have not seen the car in person and will be getting some better pictures soon but I've been told the car needs some work to bring it back up to show car quality category as defined on page 37 of my how-to book.

Just had a call from my good friend David Greenberg who owns this hotrod Packard and David and his Packard will bee here this Thursday night!

I would like to make this class next thursday as I will be in Florida visiting some friends. I need to call him and find out if it would be possible to make the drive up there. If you could add me to the list if if it falls through could you remove me? I will also get my friend to register to the forum

Smack: Mike

Well Mike im not going to be able to make it that week. Turns out the first stop I have in Florida is way up in the pan handle (Hurlbert field, Air Force Base is a bit farther from you than I thought. The next stop will be in Miami which is much closer. Maybe I can get up there from Miami...

No worries, there will be more cool cars for our forum members to work on at Autogeek in the future because this is the forum where all the action is... :buffing:

mike, you know i will be there!!!cant wait to work on the awesome car!

Cool. I'll add you to the list...

I'm supposed to get some better pictures of the car today, found out it has a Ford 302 Small Block engine and while I'm a huge big block fan in a car of this size and weight a small block will still make you hold on tight.

:)

Crap. I just moved to Orlando and have been looking for an excuse to visit. This is one of my favorite cars, but I will be in Atlanta that week! Curse this whole job thing. It gets in the way of my fun!

I have plenty of cool cars coming up and even another A.C. Cobra... no worries...

I'll be there.

Hi DiJuan,

Glad to see you can make it, you're a good with the buffer! I'll add you to the list.

Just to update, we're still on schedule to have this A.C. Cobra here this Thursday. Here's a few more pictures the owner sent me via his cell phone.

I've machine buffed a lot of A.C. Cobras in my life, most have been replicas but I've buffed out two that were the real deal. There a few things to look out for when buffing out these bodies and I'll point these out on Thursday night for everyone attending.

:)

Going to try and make it car looks like it could use some love on the chrome .

I haven't see it in person but like most special interest vehicles it's going to look worse than how it looks in pictures.

I remember how everyone thought this car looked great in pictures but in person it looked horrible!

Looks pretty good in the shade huh?

Hi Les,

Nice talking to you on the phone and looking forward to meeting you and checking out your Mercedes-Benz. I'm confident you will like machine polishing once you see how easy it is and the fabulous results you can achieve.
