I was sitting on the fence on whether or not to buy 1 grit guard or 2. I was like should I just purchase one for the rinse bucket or use only one for the wash. It was the shipping cost that kept adding up. I was like do these things even work, because I already use the 2 bucket system. So I just closed my eyes and hit the ENTER KEY and bought 2. Should be here in time for my next wash.

You not only did the right thing getting 2 but they do work, it doesn't allow you to go all the way to bottom to where the dirt is. I was lucky, got mine on a recent BOGO!

I got one,but I will order the 2nd one on my next order, after that take them to Home Depot/Loews to get the right bucket, can't beat it for $2.60 each.:xyxthumbs:

What and where is it for $2.60?

Yup...they fit perfect in the gray Lowes bucket.

I bought 3...2 for the rinse bucket, and 1 for the soapy water. It's amazing how clean the wash water stays. I also add some ONR to both to help encapsulate the dirt.

Have you heard of a tape measure?

I just bought 3 today. I used the advice of the Maguiar's factory demo. 3 buckets. 1) wash top 1/2 of car. 1) wash lower 1/2 of car, 1) Rinse bucket. This keeps the often dirtier lower part of car from contaminating upper 1/2 wash bucket. Also use 2 separate wash mitts, top & bottom.

The grit guards fit perfectly in the pickle buckets from Firehouse Subs. The buckets are only two bucks, but the money goes towards a great cause!

take a quick look at your local hardware stores . I don't know if u have a menards located by you but I have found grit guards and even gamma seal lids there . and one for each bucket is the way to go .

IMO 2 wash buckets just wastes too much product. 3300ml (about 3.5quarts) is not available to be used. IMO if going to run an extra grid guard it would be more benefitical in the rinse bucket or better still have two rinse buckets.
