Yesterday I was doing a vehicle and I was unable to upsell the customer on a polish but I went ahead and did it anyway. I felt It needed to be polished.

It was an interesting car, I thought you guys may like to check this one out lol The customer hit a deer a wile back and decided to repaint the vehicle and went with iron man colors lol He has quite a few antique cars and this one is his daily driver. It had a run in with the swirl monster to I went ahead and took him out.

Megs 105/205 with LC Yellow and white pads on my Griots. Followed by NXT Tech Wax.

Looks great but why would you go through that job with 105/205 instead of a good AIO?

If the swirls were light, maybe. But the swirls were pretty bad. 105 hardly ever fails me in that situation and I have to follow it up with 205. Also the customer had a lot of antique cars that he likes to detail and make pretty himself. He had one of those wallmart orbitals and I wanted to demonstrate my techniques with him for possible future business.

Did you get your money's worth or close to it? The reason I ask is because I did the same thing and I recieved 100 for it. I will never do that again. I will do a test spot, quote them and send them on their way.

turned out great but I would never ever do a 2 step for free...not gonna happen lol

I just did the hood. You couldn't see the swirls easily on the gold paint and ironically the swirls weren't too bad on the roof. It took me about 30 minutes. I got my moneys worth on the detail but I didn't make anything off of the correction. Again, I did it because I wanted to, and because the man has several antique cars that I may be able to polish in the future.
