This weekend I’ll be hanging out with my fiancée, of course. We’ve got some house work to do, and I’ve got some cars to clean. I didn’t get a chance to detail the interior of my car last weekend, so I’m definitely doing that. My replacement canopy came in this week, so I’m pretty excited about that. I’m also geeked that a buddy of mine, who is currently across the pond in the UK, received my order from Polished Bliss and will be sending it to me. They’re 3M pads that aren’t available in the US (so AG shouldn’t get mad at me for posting this). At one point this weekend we’re going to either grill or find a cook-out. Other than that…we’re CHILLIN!!! It’s gonna be a nice 3 day weekend for me.

Let us know how those 3M pads turn out. I always want stuff I can't get, but once I seem to get it I find out I didn't really need it in the first place

Happy Friday all. For once, I have nothing major going on for a weekend lol. The GF is working Sat/Sun and we might do some BBQ and wine or something on Monday just for us.

I'm thinking of doing a full polish/seal/wax job on the Jeep Sat/Sun but that's not really that much work I think since a good 1/2 the vehicle is non-polishable textured paint (hardtop) or black plastic trim. I suspect it will actually be less work than the 350Z was! Also I'd be starting with WG finishing glaze (light cut polish) which has no dusting compared to TSR so less cleanup work

Scratch this post........Mrs 07 just handed out marching orders for the week end

I have a truckload of shelving from her work that needs cleaning.......
2 file cabinets that need to be sanded down and repainted
And she wants the carpet replaced on the pool deck ( this has to be cut to fit each piece of the metal decking the old stuff removed then sanded to remove glue and new carpet installed one section at a time.

I would rather take a :bash: than do this pool deal.

looks like my easy going weekend turned into a work fest........can't wait to leave on Tuesday morning for work out of town I'll need a break!

Happy Friday Bobby! Thanks for posting that...makes me proud to be able to see that flag. I have one hanging in front of my house, and its funny...there's one other person in my neighborhood that has one up...and he takes it down all the time. I'm PROUD to be an American...I love my country!!

Happy Friday Flash!!! Sorry to hear that you will be working this weekend. I hope you atleaste get some time to relax and enjoy some of it.


I will definitely let you know how the pads work out. It was definitely more of a want than need. I could have gotten some nice finishing pads stateside but I recently picked up some 3M Finishing pads and wanted to stay with that product line.

No...tell Mrs07 :nomore:......ahhhh who am I kidding...that ain't gonna go over well. LMAO!!! LOL I know I was like "whoo hoo I get a weekend off" (note that I did NOT actually say that out loud). Yeah I haven't even actually ever used the finishing glaze. On the silver Z is wasn't noticeable and I'd already needed to use TSR on it which finishes down well enough for the silver. The gf's black altima and the dark (dark dark dark) green Jeep are not old enough to need TSR except maybe in a couple spots.

Actually, I shouldn't say that. I suspect the Altima will need TSR on a white pad as a lot of swirls are showing. I think the dealer probably put some good glaze on there that finally wore off. The Jeep will be minimal TSR for sure.

For sealant and wax I'll be using a couple things. WG spritz sealant for the textured paint top. WGDGPS for the paint. Then SS II for the paint.

Congrats on the title!! Mine's going pretty good too. Got my Jeep mostly done. Just waiting for the DGPS to cure overnight then a coat or two of SS II tomorrow morning. I have to say I'm quite happy with how that's going. The 350Z used to be a 10-12 hour job all total. It took me about 5 1/2 hours or so to do the Jeep, plus whatever time it takes to add the SS II tomorrow. Probably 7 to 7 1/2 total when it's all done.
