Hi all,

I just got my license few days ago and took my friends for a ride excited of course, so was going about 50km/h and just stepped hard on the gas pedal and made the car jerk forward a little bit with pretty loud rev sound(?) from the engine. I kind a felt I over-did my engine after I pulled off this Will my car break down faster than normal? What about stepping on the brakes hard? I didn't brake in all the way, but I stepped on it pretty hard couple times, So what effect will this have on the car?

Thanks a lot.
George

Hello friends,

I really need to repair the brake does anyone know how much it should cost, so I don't walk into a repair shop clueless.

Any advice you can give is appreciated!

Thanks

Hello all,

I want to clean my four fuel injectors. Where can I go to get this done? How much is the usual cost to have this service done? And does it give you a lot better performance? Can I get it done at like a auto zone or major auto store?

Thanks a lot,
George

You don't have to follow-up with any replies to your own threads after others have taken the time to reply to your questions with sincere attempts at help but it is good netiquette.

Another spammer busted! It sounded a little fishy.

I'm the last person to jump to conclusions but my radar goes off when I see patterns like I posted above. I love helping people but at the same time, I don't want to see our awesome forum members wasting their time.

The questions George has asked are great questions and he's received some great help in return. But when I don't see ANY follow-up from the guy then it leads me to believe he really wasn't interested in the answers and if a person isn't really interested in the answers, why ask the questions?

Maybe George will chime back in on this thread and explain and maybe we'll now see some follow-up replies to his other threads.

Also note, rarely do I ever see anyone join a forum using their real first and last name. I see people change their forum nicknames to their real name if they're serious about being in the car detailing industry for the long run and being an active member on forums for the long run and especially after reading my article on this topic, but rarely do I see someone out of the blue join with both their real first and last name.

Brand Yourself, Brand your Forum Nickname and Brand your Business Name

I'm also a big fan of checking out people's character by reading their posting history, not just on this forum but all the detailing forums out their and I'm always amazed at what I see people saying in public on other forums.

I think you are talking about the car maintenance. Please post some
tips on the tread that which are really beneficial for us instead of this
wastage discussion which is fun for you guys. On guy post some thing
which is really appreciable.

(My assumption may be incorrect, though.)

Sincerely hoping you appreciate my candor,

I don't use my real name because its not real creativve but I do use the same screen name on the 3 car forums I'm a part of.

As far as the questions go, well its been covered my Bobby G but preventive maintence is the single most important thing to do. I used to work for a tool coating company back in the metro Detroit area and was in charge of our fleet of vans, case in point was our then brand new 97' GMC Safari. It was in service for over 8 yrs and racked up 656k on the clock, original trans and engine, just the oil pump replaced at 80k. The rad lasted over 300k as well as the water pump. This was accomplished by changing the fluids ontime or early, even had a set of tires go 100k (Michelin X-One's) So OP, change your oil, trans and coolant fluids ontime or early and your car will go forever!
