New toy for my garage/shop :)

Very nice! It will feel great to stand straight up while polishing lower rockers!

Has anyone located a make or model number to purchase this still can't locate onsite?
Thanks in advance

It is movable, easy enough to pull around, but pushing it can require another person as it 1000lbs. I'm going to try and set it all up tonight and will post more pics with my car on it when I get it done.

Unfortunately not the kind of thing you can move out of the way and store up against the wall when you're not using it (unless you have a lot of help!).

Actually it's on wheels with the dolly and can be done rather quickly with 2 people. I can pull it around by myself but the turn radius is limited and you have to go forward and backward a few times. :xyxthumbs:

Does this run on a 110? I remember you talking about you buying this as well as saying in another thread that your wife doesn't' have a 220 outlet.

Would love to see the lift when it's put together!

Yes, this unit is 110v but I do have multiple 220v outlets in this garage. I sold this house to my best friend and I just rent the space now. ;)

I have to pick up hydraulic fluid tonight (didn't come with it ) and some 2" X 12" boards, but it should be all set this evening. ;)

Awesome!

You really got me into detailing over at 8th. Pretty amazing what you can do!

Did you get your Master Blaster yet!

I'm glad I could help spend your money! :D

Master Blaster arrives tomorrow. :props:

Chad: Any time to give this a go? I'm chomping at the bit for feedback :)

Yes, but it didn't end real well. :(

After getting it all set up I went to run the lift and it didn't go up. You could see the main hydraulic line tighten up, so the pump was working, but that was it. I went through the trouble shooting to bleed the lines and no fluid came out at the cylinders. It turns out that the aluminum splitter/distribution block was machined wrong. You basically have the main hydraulic line that comes into this block which splits the fluid into two lines, one for each cylinder. As you can see they didn't tap deep enough on the main line hole and it's essentially a dead end for the fluid. :(

Good news is that I got a hold of the guy that set up my delivery at 9:30 last night (after hours) and he said they still had one more in the warehouse that they could take the splitter off of if it's machined properly. If not, I'll just bring it to work and tap it myself. ;)

Working in engineering I understand these things happen, but this should have been caught during testing (assuming they test each unit). So I'm not super happy with the lift right now but it's a minor issue. I am very happy with the service from Benco though seeing as the employee called me back after hours, and I'm not even sure what his role is.

I'll post back later today to see if they had a good part...

nnnnnnnnnnnnnoooooooooooooooooooo this seemed so promising!!!!

Awesome new toy.

Now how do I convince my wife that I need one?!?

Chad, you're going to love it!
I have a buddy with a tire shop. Over the years I've done paint jobs, full cut 'n buffs and details off a similar rack. Even for interiors it's great, as you can bring carpets and seat bottoms up to a comfortable working height. You'll have a bit of adjustment period at first, altering your normal routine so that you're not raising and lowering it all day long, but once you get your process dialed in you'll be far more efficient than you've ever been.
Enjoy!

Bill
