My Bissell Little Green Method

Nice write up.

How much time does it usually take? How much time is associated with setting it up and then cleaning out the LGM at the end?

Setting up not a whole lot, You just plug it in. Cleaning a couple minutes. I rinse out the tank and the rubber gasket. Then run clean water through the hose. Every week I let the tank sit in some degreaser for a bit.

Does it work well on stains???

Most. The only stains I have a hard time getting out is red juice stains and pen ink.

Yes it heats up if you get the proheat model. They are awsome little machines Im happy with mine.

It's only 25 degrees over tap water though :( I just try to use scolding hot water initially.

but it keeps it at that heat continuously, correct?
I have the regular non heated version that i also initially just add hot hit water

Yea, it does.

To be honest, I got through the water so quick I doubt it has time to cool that much. I just put really hot water in the tank.

Good point there,thanks.
Back to the OP,I use the relatively same method and it works great.
Still wish I wouldn't have sold my Mytee Hp100 :/

That's good to know. The auto one, from what I've seen in pictures is about the same as the pet one. They cost more from what I've seen also.

I'm thinking this would help in raising the fibers from the 'dents' from where my heel always rests.

Mine was $99 before a $20 mail in rebate. I think the little green is the same. The pet one has the spinning attachment which I'm not sure if I would have any use for it or not.

i just bought the bissell pro heat pet and i looked it over the only thing diffrent is the attachments and u have to say i bought it and with out flaw i sted in a dog pile on the way to the car and didnt know and found out when i got in the car this was 2 hours ago after i just bought the bissell and i got to use it lol and i had stains and now dog poo and it cleaned it great and not one thing left... and now i wanna order the attachments that u can get the turbo one ant theres some more but first i shall go clean my shoe now that i cleaned my floor mats

5 mats under 60mins. the Flex w/ brush helps ALOT even though it was the wrong DA :) I found out after the fact

I think i left a lot of water in the carpet because what comes in only 1/3 come out :) So the dirty water you see is only 1/3 of what i put in the other container Im the MAN

Using mine for the first time in the morning, unboxed it and attached everything tonight.

I really felt the Auto Pro Heat Bissell worked well. The mats looked clean, but the water was ultimately almost a pure black in the dirty water canister.

I took a few pictures during the process, but I'm not totally sure how to upload pictures WITHIN the post, like everyone else does - do I need to upload them to my photobucket account, is that the only way?

You don't have to use Photobucket. Whatever image hosting site you like. A lot of the time I use photos from my facebook page. Here's how,

1) Find the URL for the image you want. Mine happens to be in my photobucket.

2) In your reply/message on AG, click the image icon.

3) Paste the URL in the box that appears

4) Click ok
