Incredibly Cheap Finds

Yep! Grit Guard fits. I used it for a rinseless wash this weekend. Perfect. Cardboard label comes off.

I should really go get a couple of those and just take the receipt back to get my money back

Just picked up the Sears 9 AMP leaf blower. looks perfect for car drying. Those nooks and crannies. $17.99

Huh? Confused.

Bill

I am confident they will be 20-50% off Thursday. If I wait my local store may not have any, but they do now. I think if I go get a few now, on Thursday I can go back and get the difference back. If I wait till Thursday they may not have any.

Just ordered the electric leaf blower as a back-up of my battery operated one. $13.42 with my points + free shipping. Thanks for the heads up

Went to Sears and got the leaf blower with 3 year replacement plan for $20.00, and they had carhartt coats on sale normally $120 for $49

Gotcha!

I think the cold weather is affecting thought process (or what's left of it).

Merry Christmas...

Went to PepBoys in my area. The Turtle Wax rinseless wash is on clearance. $5.50 per bottle. They gave it to me for $4.00 a bottle. I picked up two.

That's a pretty good price for sure. I have been using this all winter since advance auto ran their sale (either bogo or half off...) and got 8 bottles. Makes cheap clay bar lube and all kinds of other uses. I have actually mixed it with a little aquawax and even griots spray wax with pretty decent results.

I was at northerntool today to get some air compressor fittings and my store had the detailers choice brand 10 packs of microfiber towels on clearance for 3.99. I also noticed they had grit guards. Rare find in stores around me.

Ive got the towels washing now and they are not a great quality but the drying towel in the box is the focal point. I will probably use it (not for drying) as it is 2'x2' and the glass towels are decent I suppose. There are two cotton applicator pads that can probably serve some purpose. The rest is your basic low quality 80/20 mix you've seen in every cheap microfiber. Those were linting out of the box. But for $4 I may go back to get another box.

Detailer's Choice Microfiber Car Cleaning Kit — 10-Pc., Model# 1123 | Towels Rags| Northern Tool + Equipment

Can't check price but you can see if your store has them.

k-mart has that kit (at least the one around me) as well though I don't recall the price. they also have many accessories by detailers choice as well...

Yeah I've never bought anything by that brand. I also see it at carquest when I'm getting duragloss stuff locally. They sell the drying towel for $9 or 11 so if this is the same towel it's a good deal... This set was on slickdeals for 7 earlier this year. Like I said though, the 3 "all purpose" were linting out of the box and are general low end otc quality. The 24x24 drying towel hasn't longed and the edges didn't shrivel on low heat. I don't generally use dedicated glass towels but they seem decent too. The two applicators will probably do fine for protectant or tire shine. I'm a sucker for a deal and definitely a sucker for a 4sqft towel. Even if it doesn't ever touch paint.

advance auto has griots wheel cleaner for 1.99 a bottle. It's available online for in store pickup and it's the green stuff, not the HD. The HD is 9.99, but I'm really getting this stuff for the spray bottles and to test it out. The spray bottles are 2x this much anyway.

I just picked up Meg's 105 and 205 at advance auto for 9 bucks each bought all they had

Thanks for heads up. Went up and ordered all they had at the store. 4 bottles for under $9

Thats a crazy deal... Mine was still $32.49 for 105 and $24.99 for the 205...

I'm assuming you got this in the store and not online?

yeah I couldn't find any even carried at my local store... oh well

I did get 6 bottles of the wheel cleaner... I have 8 stores within 10 miles of me (pretty ridiculous) and left a few for friends. I stopped at dollar tree on the way back and got a gallon jug of windshield spray and am cleaning that out now. Going to pour 4 (almost) into the gallon jug and use these bottles for other products... most of mine had the foaming tip so I do like that. I can't help but think this was a mistake... They took $8 off the HD wheel cleaner, the wheel brush and a few other items I think they made an error on this.

Very peculiar is the fact that they had the 22oz bottle. Does anyone know which is the old stock and which is the new stock? One of my stores has the 22oz listed as the accurate part number and it was 14.99 and the other had it as 9.99. I don't understand? Which sprayer is the old "good" finest sprayer? I heard the new ones suck. Which one is good? The 22 oz bottle I have has a bunch of crap floating in it and is noticeably a lighter color

My store was doing the same thing... They scanned the 35 oz bottle and it was coming up as 22 oz in their system. I had to order online and pay, and then he gave me the bottles and I was on my merry way.

If you look online it is definitely the correct price.. It seems too good to be true but hey, I'll take it.

Going to pick up some more at some different stores tomorrow.

.... would had loved to pick up 4 bottles each of 105 and 205 though considering that's close to normal price when buying one of each.... I figured he picked them up in Denver since that's where AGO says he's from, so I called and asked, but even they were saying $33... Oh well...
