Life's a bummer....

WTH........ I always associate someone washing their car with low property values--gasp!

I know in my area there's a lot of 24hr self car wash places that are decently lit. I drive by there and see people at 3am sometimes just prettying up their vehicles. If you have something like that in your area then that's one place you could go any time.

We have ppl who set up shop @ the DIY all hours of the night. They're called drug dealers

:wow:

WTF?
I mean different people see things different ways and I support you in your desire to live anormal life but....WTF?

Just out of curiosity, which 3rd world nation did you move to?

I've battled rules and ignorance for years......good luck my friend.

I live in the Third World Country of Arlington, TX, my friend. There are rules and regulations here that I've not seen anywhere else. Truly strange city. But it's my home now. As the saying goes: "When in Rome...."

:whs:

That's a pretty good option. There are three of those within a mile or two of where I live.

Do you live in North Korea??

If you've been unknowingly violating the rules for 5 years and no one's mentioned it yet then I'd continue....:props:

That's what I was thinking, go for it, your not hurting anything, making any noise or anything, its over and done in what, under an hour.

Alot of ppl have been murdered washing their car at the DIY. If possible, arm yourself and keep your head on a swivel

I agree, don't take chances, take an extra set of eyes.

^ sad to think we now have to be concerned about getting robber or worse. Unfortunately that's the way things have turned. Be careful and happy detailing.

I would schedule an appt. with the HOA and then hit them with a 15-min. PowerPoint presentation about the products you intend to use (pics, descriptions, manufacturer's notes on environmental safety, etc.) and then end with an imbedded YouTube video of a rinseless wash (preferrably one that does not have a Godsmack song in the background).

If they need further convincing, might offer to demonstrate th eproduct(s) on one of their cars. (?) :props:

This is a foolish rule. I would keep doing what your have been for 5 years.
