Looking for a topper for DG 105/501. Something that compliments 105/501 and gives it some bling an pop yet works well with them?

I already like the way UPGP looks on top of 105, looking for something others.

I've got to tell you, I just used Duragloss 501 to clean the paint on my truck then followed by an application of Duragloss 105 and I'm not sure if I've ever seen anything so glossy! :props:

Adding an additional cost of most sealants with give the look additional depth so take your pick! :dblthumb2:

Ok Thanx. Did you do separate applications or combo all in one?

In your opinion will any of the above sealants give a different look or am I better off just layering 105? Will anything look better than 105 or is 105 the bombdiggity?

601/105 leaves an earth shaking shine. I apply them seperately. If you follow that With Aqua Wax I think it is as good as it gets.

I've done separate applications of Duragloss 601 then apply Duragloss 105 but with some encouragement and direction from Richy, I gave the 1 part 601 to 4 parts 105 a try and the results were stunning....

I haven't added an additional coat yet but I'd caution applying a coat of anything that has cleaners in them....If I were to add anything it would be a coat of Menzerna Power Lock or Prima Hydro Seal.....

You can always add a nice coat of Duragloss Aquawax with will bump it up a notch....

Thanx for the replies. Wonder how 1 part 601, 2 parts 501 and 2 parts 105 would work. Might have to try that topped with AW.

What is the preferred way to apply the 601/105 mixture..?..

I mixed 1 part 601, 2 parts 501 and 2 parts 105 in a Megs bottle. Will try this combo out this weekend on a 2012 Highlander.

I've been topping DG105 with HD POXY which is a hybrid sealant/Montan Wax and the look is stunning--sealant type shine with allot of wetness.

For protection that will last a year, I add Colli 845 and it looks great. The other thing is AW....looks amazing, but won't last as long on its own. FK425 is another great temp topper for slickness and looks.

Hey John,

I've been applying this with my dual action polisher, a blue foam pad on speed 3.

This mixture is super creamy and lays down very smooth. Let it haze then buff to a gorgeous gloss.....:props:

Thanx I have 845 and AW, will try both.

Then lay down the 845 and top periodically with AW for slickness and shine.

I did the 501/601/105 richy-recommended process on my metallic red DD last month. Looked pretty good, but it wasn't quite "there" IMO. One layer of 845 brought it to where I wanted it to be. A bit of AW every other wash job and it's about as smooth and slick as I could ever hope for.

I just did 501, then 601/111 1-4 ratio, then topped with AW. Didn't see a need to top it with anything else.
But HD POXY would make it look very glossy/wet !!

Never heard of HD POXY pro. How does it compare to 845 in terms of looks, durability and ease of application?

My DG601/501/105 combo in Megs Dispenser bottle with pull off cap EXPLODED all over my other products! I mixed 1 inch of 601 with 2 inches of 105 and 2 inches of 501 with about 1 inch left over in the bottle. Shook it up and left it. Went down this morning and the cap was blown off and it was everywhere.

Pretty powerful combo if you ask me. I lost about 15% of the mix but at least all my other products have a nice coat of protection. Anyone have any idea why this happened?

Holy Moley!! FYI, and not that I think it matters, but I do 2 separate bottles. One I mix 601/501 at 1:4 and the other 601/105 at 1:4. I have been doing this for longer than a year (maybe 2?) and have never had that happen, nor has anyone ever reported it either. I don't know why it would have happened. Was there a big temperature change? Left in the sun? I'm sorry to hear that. It had to have been shaking it and leaving it. I only shake it to mix and then dispense it. Gotta be the reason.

What is the difference between DG101 & DG105?
101 is a more pure sealant, kinda plasticky, very shiny look whereas 105 has a more carnuba like appearance to it. I also find 105 easier to work with. That's all I buy anymore although people with white and silver often prefer the 101. You'll get some people who prefer each I would suspect.
