So I got the financing I wanted and pulled the trigger on a 2012 Mustang V6 with the performance package and 6-speed today!. I ended up trading the TA in because it was getting old and showing it's age. Plus that automatic was so boring to drive everyday. I ended up getting performance white since it was either white or silver cars that were available here in South Florida with the options I wanted. This will be my first white car and since I'm used to an old black car this thing should be a breeze to keep clean. It should be in tomorrow afternoon from a dealer trade and I'm gonna go immediately pick it up (dirty of course, no DISO for me). I guess I'm gonna need a new screen name just like Mark. I'll have to think about what my new name will be...

Here's a pic off the dealer website

Oh my GOODNESS!!!! What a beauty.... and stick-shift!!!!! Less than 15% of all drivers in the USA are using a stick these days, that is a fact. My VW CC.... 6-speed baby. All the best of luck to you.

I just brought a 2012 base Grabber blue V6. Did Ford still have 0% when you got yours?

Mine went 14.33 at 99MPH with the 2.73 gears and got 31MPG on the way to the track I love this Mustang.

Congrats, I REALLY wanted the grabber blue but couldn't find any with the perf. package. I qualified for the $1500 rebate plus 1.9% APR for 72 months. This was better than what I was expecting so I signed on the dotted line LOL. Yeah, these PP cars are going high 13's all day long which is as quick as my old 03 Mach 1. Plus the thing will get 29+ MPG on the highway. It's a very versatile car and a great value.

I searched for a base model PP and couldn't find one so I just went base model and will run 3.73 gears.

Last month i got 1500 in rebates and 0% for 60 months, I couldn't pass it up.

Wish i could have found a base model GT only premium were left around here.

The new V6 is impressive my 2V went 14.2 and my Cobra vert went 13.8. The 2012 went a 14.33 with a sad 2.2 60ft if I can get it to a 2.0it will be a 13.9 to 14.0 pass. Im was impressed. A lot of bolt on cars are running low 13

ETA

I love the PP in white one of my favorite combination.

Transambrotha, so much for your future plans for the T/A, huh....CONGRATS! You can try out your recently won BF aeresol on it too. As far as the performance goes, well your 5.7L T/A had what, 305 hp and now you've got a 4.2L V6 that makes the same power, get's better mileage and has the stick you've always wanted, plus the Stang in white with those wheels is one stunning package, I'm very happy for you! Can't wait to see the pics and plans for the car, I'm subscribed to this thread, once again, congrats!

Wow...look at all these stang owners coming out of the woodwork. What did I start?????? Im the MAN

Congrats to you both on getting the latest gen stangs. Ford has really stepped up and delivered. You'll love it.

Shoulda kept the TA. It also gets 30 mpg highway, ask me how I know.

Thanks man, the TA just didn't work out as a daily driver and I was yearning for more. Besides, there's no point in making payments on a car you don't enjoy driving. The v6 is actually a 3.7 liter with the variable timing valvetrain that makes awesome power all through the powerband. And yes, the 6-speed just doubles the fun of driving any car.

These new v6's are no joke and if you can get past the "macho" factor, they're a great alternative to the pricier GT. :props:

I know they do decent, I averaged 19-20 city and like 25-26 highway. There's more reasons than just that for me to move on though.

lol thank you sir. Maybe cause my car is so pale, I'll call it "Marilyn Manson" as a tribute to your 5.0 LOL

Since I got my Cobra I subscribed to the 2 big Mustang Mags. They've done some incredible things with the V6's. I know with bolt ons and a tune they got them to over 400HP. CAI, Free Flow Exhaust, and a BAMA Tuner are the starting points. Congratulations. In my past I had 2 white with Shelby blue striped 70 Fastbacks. Much easier to keep clean than my Black Cobra, so I think you'll be glad you got white. Plus it will be great in the Hot Florida sun. And you'll definitely have fun with the 6 speed. My wife and I are always wishing we had the 6th gear for the highway. Have fun with it!

Thanks! I haven't thought about the heat factor yet, the black TA with the grey leather interior was blistering after sitting out in the sun all day. Window tint will be the first "mod" I do to the new stang.
