I had an eventful day today. Some random guy decides to run off the road and take out a school bus stop sign that was right beside our fence, continued driving in my yard and hit a drain pipe literally jumping our street. He landed in my neighbors yard, took out a corner of her new fence, continued driving in the ditch hitting another drain pipe, crossed the next street before finally stopping before another drain pipe. Keep in mind the speed limit on our road is only 35mph.

This was taken at the end of my fence, the sign was about 30ft behind this point. You can't see how much the drop is in this picture but it's a decent amount.

This picture shows the point of impact in my neighbors yard. The white Sebring was the stunt car.

The guy refused medical treatment other than cleaning and wrapping a cut on his arm, even though he was holding his head and limping around. Pretty impressive though.

Raining here all day in PA so I automatically assumed wet roads...but nope...they sure look dry to me there!

Nope, the road was dry. There were no skid marks left behind either. I would say the driver was on something because he really made no effort to stop.

"Honest officer, I was driving along, minding my own business, and that sign ran our and bit my car!"

While I was:

  • Texting
  • Talking on the phone
  • Looking for some good music on my IPod
  • Adjusting the radio
  • Watching a DVD
Was I supposed to be watching the road officer? :poke:

Richard,

Sorry to see he's damaged your property, I'm just glad you and your family weren't part of it...
