So I had been reading about people using blowers to dry their cars and was skeptical about it, well decide to get one and try for myself!

Bam $29.99 electric leaf blower @ 150mph. Basically cut my drying time in half and those hard to dry crevices "crying" side mirrors blown away! I still had my sham to dry any spots I missed. I know it's no metro or anything fancy but being able to dry where i normally had a difficult time just by blowing it away?! Awesome! Hey for the price, cutting down drying time and less physical work, I give it 2 thumbs up :D
P.s. got to give the credit to Bobby for getting me interesting in getting one of these

my favorite aspect of having one of these is being able to rinse and dry the car without washing it. for those times when it just has dust or pollen; if there is some lower panel grime or some bugs, just presoak with sprayed ONR, hit the car with a strong stream to blast all the dust/pollen/lower grime off, and then stream the water as best you can. then blow it off and bam. it takes 5 minutes to do an entire car.

nice purchase. just make sure you can fasten the extension cord somehow because if it come apart as you are using it it can whip into a panel and leave a dent. my toro blower has a little area to snap the cord into which sort of collars the plug end and prevents it from being able to drop away from the machine.

:nomore: Please invest in a good drying towel or should I say 20. You are on the right track so ditch the Sham

I have tons of brand new microfiber towels don't worry. After I bought the blower went to a near by friends house because I couldn't wait to try it out. The sham was all he had

It will get the job done, and it only weighs five and a half pounds.

I've been wanting to pick one up, and for $30 I think I'm going to. May I ask where you got it from?

I am planning to get the Ryobi One + Blower cordless for my lawn and to dry off my car. I will get it for my Wedding Anniversary present.

Home Depot, Lowes carry them. I have a detachable blower for my shop vac that is rated at 205 MPH and it dries the car without any additonal wiping. If you spend about 15 extra dollars you can get one rated at 220 MPH.

picked it up a lowes today. think its on sale

Me too:props:

My favorite is blowing off water on the wheels. No more waterspots on my chrome and no more waiting for the tires to dry

I agree, used to hate waiting for the tires to dry. not no more :D

My tool of choice

Noooo. Please tell me this is not a gas operated blower. The exhaust fumes get blown right smack into the paint and risking contamination.

HUH? This has a 47oz gas tank, uses synthetic mix oil, and it would take close to 2 hours to burn through an entire tank of fuel......how much contaminent is coming out of the exhaust in the 5 mins it takes to blow the car off?

Most powerful blower made, anywhere. Would take those cute little elctric ones and blow them across the yard and up a tree for ya. Im the MAN

you know i always thought that too, for years actually - that's why i ended up getting this electric Toro four years ago haha - but i couldn't find proof that they are doing that (routing exhaust through the outlet).

you don't need a powerful blower to properly blow the water off of a car. my Toro is supposedly rated at 235mph or whatever...doesn't matter, it's still overkill and it's only a basic electric blower. anything more powerful would probably be more apt to stirring up sediment around the vehicle as opposed to simply blowing things off of it.

for those who use a blower for all the uses a blower has, i can see worrying about how powerful it is versus electric blowers, but for anyone who just wants one to dry their car and blow grass clippings off of their sidewalk...a good e-blower will take care of that without any issue, they are cheap, durable and you don't have to mix fuel ; )

I learned this trick recently! The car just looks so much cleaner than with an MF. I have a back pack style Husqvarna!

I tried my leaf blower a few times and it was just so unwieldy and I broke down and got me a Master Blaster, I know it is a heck of a lot more, but it has so been worth it!
