Was going through the forum and I couldnt find any reviews of Lake Country's new waffle pad. I saw the thread on the ones that were givin out but havent seen any follow up reviews.

At work I use a DW849 with 3M's ultrafina line of pads and polishes. I really like the waffle pads that 3M has but they are much to big. Looking forward to hearing some others opinions on the Lake country pads before I pull the trigger on the full lineup Lake country's new pads and corresponding backing plates.

I won a set in the giveaway but cannot use them until my corresponding backing plates arrive. I've been working on a few paint corrections for a few friends so I've been crazy busy.

I do plan on doing a review of these pads as soon as my backing plates from AG come in!

I'm excited to give the 4" pads a go - the 6" just look entirely too big for my Porter Cable. For what it's worth, the pads look to be excellent quality and I cannot wait to see how they finish down.

Sounds good Tim. I really like the waffle design that 3M has with their Perfect it waffle pads and love how they perform with a rotory. I am so ready to pull the trigger on the new dewalt 849x and the new waffle 6.5 and 4 inch pads.

Sounds like we're both looking at the same rotary! Thinking about stepping up myself. Hope to have a writeup on these pads within the next week or so.

I make them now in 6.5 5.5 and 4. For that, you would have to talk to Autogeek

I received a set from the contest as well. I had planned on giving them a shot this weekend on my daily, but mother nature is planning a 98 degree day on Saturday. I'm going to wait for a little cooler weather before I jump in. Once I do, I'll do my best to get some 50/50 shots and post up my thoughts.

Great. By the way, nice pair of muscle SUV's you have there.

never understood the theory behind waffle pads. If the LC flat pads are better than the CCS pads due to more surface area, aren't the waffle pads then just terrible for surface area?

The waffle pads are AWESOME. They are on par with the CCS pads IMO. I will be doing a full review soon. I used them on my wife's daily with just some D151 and really liked how they felt.

Great. Another review coming. Thanks Nick. On a side note what machine did you use the pads and D151?
