A guestion on avatar's

I have been reading to find the answer but to no avail. I would like to select my avatar using option #2 but that option won't highlite. Iam usually pretty good with computers but Iam stumped. Seems like everyone else has figured it out:doh:
 
If you're referring to uploading a profile pic i've been having te sane issue. Whenever I hit the "save changes" button I get "Upload of file failed.". I've tied using both a .png and a .jpg and they were both under the 150pixel and 34.2KB size limits. I'm uploading straight from my computer, not a URL, and it puts it there in my profile where i can see it, but it fails uploading and then doesn't display.

Is this what you are also experiencing?

Sounds like it's the size if you can see it when you attach it but it fails when you submit it. Make sure it's the correct size, right click the file and check the size in the properties. Mine is 150x100 I set it in Photoshop before uploading. Let me know if you want me to check it?

To use your own picture you MUST compress it to a smaller size.
The maximum size of your custom image is 150 by 150 pixels or 34.2 KB (whichever is smaller).
 
My picture is 108x108 pixels. I've tried it in 3 different formats (png, bmp and jpeg) all of which i made sure were less than 34.2KB
 
haha, no, lol. I tried deleting my old "attempeted upload pic first, then uplaoding, but still hasn't worked. just did jpg, was smaller than both reqirements
 
maybe this time....

nope, nothing seems to be working :(

All I did was click the blue dot so the use custom was selected and then uploaded a picture from my computer files. When I hit save changes it also came up as failed but when i went back to the forum my avatar was there. Not sure what I did different then all of you but it worked for me. All I can suggest is that the custom dot is blue.:)
 
Where is this custom blue dot that you speak of... I'm blind and can't see it :(

So I've jsut discovered there is a profile picture and an avatar option, well don't I feel like an idiot :(
