Super Degreaser!
Yes you heard that right, Meg's Super Degreaser diluted 15:1 works perfectly fine. I always used APC+ at 10:1 but recently read an article by Bob Keppel, claiming that he switched to super degreaser. I was extremely hesitant at first but made the switch and it's saving me money and working just fine. Works well on vinyl, plastic, upholstery and carpet, especially if paired with a steamer. Smell is better too imo. Is anybody else doing this?
Is OPC "body shop safe"? I wondered, as I was wanting to use it full strength to degrease an engine compartment I want to paint.
Unanswered question bump!
I wouldn't do this myself. Especially on more delicate surfaces. SD and APC are both designed for different jobs. You may get away with no issues for a long time but the day SD stains or discolours something you may regret it. If buying is gallons 10:1 is only 42c per quart. The cost saving versus the risk is not worth it.
Apc plus doesn't foam. If you had to get one get Apc plus. Amazing product.

I favor 3-D Total.
Just have to chime in and say, one thing I've learned over many years, mainly cleaning non-car things, is that the proper application of just plain water, with care and the right technique, is often one of the safest and best things to do. You'd be amazed how well this works; a lot of cleaners are more time-savers than they are improvements on the final results (obviously not the case for paint wash and wax, etc.).

I have just been diluting Super Clean to clean areas but I wanted to try some other stuff.
What do you think is the best all purpose cleaner?
Thanks
