So I got some CSS pads yesterday, and I noticed that the blue one has one of the little dimples not properly formed. It's rough and sits a little above the surface, feels kind of like it's got glue (or melted) or something like that, but definitely a "sharp" feel to it. Is it OK to use? Should i just rip the sharp part off? What do you guys think?

I wouldn't use it

I believe that those depressions are molded in with heat. It's possible that the foam became stuck to the mold and pulled slightly.

There's no doubt that the pads defective and if the foam is solid it could leave trails behind.

See if you can clip if off exposing soft foam and you should be OK but only you can determine this....

If you bought it through Autogeek give the folks there a jingle and make them aware of the defect, they'll probably send you out a new one....

Bought it through the Australian distributor, I'll let them know, see what they do. I'm pretty sure I can cut it off, but wasn't sure I'd that would just cause other problems for me down the track, like the entire pad falls apart originating for where I messed with it.

Thanks all for the replies, at least now I don't feel like I'm complaining about nothing.

Questions are the way we learn and they're free. The only stupid question is the one that's not asked....:props:

I always like the line "there are no stupid questions, just stupid people".

Also, BobbyG, I tried to send you a PM in reply to the tips you gave me regarding the menzerna products, but I got an error... Maybe your inbox is full? It gave me some internal error and I'm able to still PM others so I assume it's on your side. The basic jist of it was THANKS HEAPS!!!

Yup, I've heard that one before and I like it!!

Hmmmm, I usually police that pretty well... There's on 30 total in there now so give it a shot and I'll see if it goes through and reply if it does...:props:

Australian distributor (waxit) are sending me a new pad, they seem to have very good service!

Bobby, I sent a test from my phone and from a computer, both seemed to work, strange, maybe it's my home computer that doesn't like you....
