What's your favorite readily available car wash for your daily driver? What's something that cleans well and leaves a great shine but also protects? Is a wash/wax the way to go?

By readily available I mean stores like Walmart, Target, Auto Zone, Advanced Auto Parts, and NAPA.

Duragloss 901 is a really nice wash if you can get it at NAPA. Carquest seems to be the place that carries Duragloss, if you have one of them.

:welcome: To Autogeek Online!

Local stores carry many decent products. Duragloss, Meguiar's, and Mothers, are among the brands to choose from.

Mothers™ California Gold Car Wash
Duragloss #901
Meguiar's Gold Class

NXT made a nice wash found at retail ... havent seen it locally in a while however.

The only wash i will buy locally is Meguiars Gold Class, not saying others are bad just havent tried anything else. I liked it so much i stuck with it when in a pinch.

Gold class too but free shipping off amazon gets good stuff to you easily....like chemical guys washes....

Gold class is my first choice.

duragloss 901 for me ,get it at my local carquest.it is reasonably priced and does a terrific job both in cleaning and gloss.

You can get Gold Class at Target. I've also used and like Mother's (I think it's California Gold). I do not like Turtle Wax Ice wash too much... it foams up nice in the bucket but doesn't seem to stay as foamy on the mitt or the car.

Yeah, Megiuar's Gold Class, Meg's Ultimate Wash and Wax once a month.

Where us everyone getting Duragloss products locally??? I've been to 4 or 5 Carquests in my are (SE PA) and none of them have it. Also went to a few NAPAs. Anyone have a source for this in Montg. County PA?

I've noticed the same. Store was out of Gold Class so I picked up ICE.

Seems like it has ample lubricity, foams well in the bucket. Doesn't stay foamy on the car long enough though.

Meguiar's Gold Class, all I've used for the last 3 years, haven't had any problems with it.:xyxthumbs:

NAPA. I went into the store and they brought it up on the computer and have it in the warehouse. They said they can have it here within the next day.

Meguiar's Gold Class at any number of local chain stores.
