Link to indoor washing system

Does anybody know the name or have a link to a washing system that could be used indoors that saves water? I think ive seen somewhere where stuff is laid on the ground where cars go in the center of it.

Are you talking about a wash mat? I don't know that it "saves" water; the purpose is to reclaim the water so it doesn't pollute.

Excuse my incompetance, perhaps it is a wash mat! How much do those system run? Got any good brand or products that you suggest?

I wasn't suggesting you were incompetent, I was just trying to understand what you were talking about. The price depends on the size of the mat, and when I looked at them a few years ago, they were $800-1200, and that doesn't include any pumps or tanks. Your best bet would be to google wash mats.

I wasnt taking any offense to it. Thank you so much for your help though. I think it is exactly what youre talking about. A buddy of mine is wanting to rent a bay to me at his new shop he is leasing and I would love to do detailing work there. The City of Houston though, is requiring some type of reclaim system. I'm wondering if i can get away with one of these systems since its not exactly "High Volume" like those big production car washes.

Mostly the reclaim is for outside so the wash water doesn't go into a storm drain or body of water. What are you going to do with the water after you capture it in the mat? In most locales, you would put it into a sanitary sewer...so if this shop has a floor drain which is a sanitary line, the mat is kind of a waste.

Frequently the car wash reclaim requirement is more of a water usage or sewage treatment issue, which has to do with the large volume of water that a tunnel wash uses.
