Is there something preferred? 845 is so durable that perhaps a stronger was like CWG/CWC would be the best shampoo to use regularly?

Perhaps a stupid question, but I thought it would be worth asking.

I like to use DG 901 and Majestic Solutions as my maintenance car wash soaps with all LSP's. I use CGCWG for very dirty cars and to strip old wax before applying new wax.

I use Optimum Car wash...works great, lots of Suds, doesn't touch the 845.

I remember someone on here posted that they used Dawn on their car that had a coating of 845 from 6 months or a year beforehand and the car still beaded water:xyxthumbs:

I posted something similar, maybe you're thinking of me. It wasn't 6 months though, only 1. But one of my clients washed their car with Dawn for a month and the water still beaded like I had just put the 845 on.

Anything but ONR!!!

I don't know why, but I have had issues with ONR degrading #845 very quickly.

Duragloss 901 with that particular sealant is my favorite.

I use CG Maxi Suds II or Poorboys Super Slick & Suds. Have no issues vs. 845.

My favorite soap to date is Duragloss 901....:props:

Interesting Troy, I wonder if similar results are found with other no rinse products like DP Rinseless Wash & Gloss?

I havent found DP rinseless to cause the same problems, at least in my experience.

I had the same ONR-845 incompatibility issue - and I didn't have the same issue with DP Rinseless. It'd be interesting to see of the new ONR will have the same effect, but I don't have any of it yet, and I don't really use 845 anymore either.

Very interesting. I'd be interested in why this is. I've got 845 / opti-seal combo on my truck and it seems fine with ONR. I think I might go out to the garage later (when I'm much less hung over) and add a little ONR to some 845 & see what happens!
