I drove by a car wash the other day and saw a guy waiting to have his Bentley run thru the drive thru. I almost fainted.

Uneducated people keep professional detailers in business. Keep that in mind...

Ouch!

I believe he said the Bentley was waiting to go through the wash. The BMW pictured appears to be leaving, with many a swirl.

This is true that uneducated people keep detailers in business, but lets keep that to this forum. I also dont get what this person bought with that car? stupidity, bills, People buy a car and dont take care of it. someday the world will make them pay.

Nobody said because they have money that God gave them any brains.

I think I would have pulled up near the Bentley, park my car with my detailing business lettering visible, then pull out a premixed solution of ONR in a spray bottle and proceed to wash a panel of my car. I would then hold up the dirty rag for him to see and then walk over to get his business and save the day.

Yeah, this picture is of a BMW. The Bentley I was not able to shoot. But I can't understand why someone would spend all that money on such a nice car then send it thru a drive thru. Some people!!!!

One word, ignorance. They are probably not aware the by doing such a thing they are creating swirls in their cars paint. I know before I was into detailing like i am now and was ignorant I drove my Escalade through a swirl-o-matic, while improperly drying it an elderly man drove up very interested in having his car washed and asked if I had taken my car through it, I did not realize at that time his concern about taking his car through, I do now. Point being most people either do not know or do not care.

Dude, we live in So Cal. Its like the Mecca of rich people with $100,000 rides that are too cheap to pay anyone to wash their car and don't have time between their starbucks and cell phone calls and think that using the drive through car was at the local Shell gas station is getting a car wash. They also think that when said car wash sprays that bright colored "wax" that they never need to get their car waxed by hand. I get tired of explaining to people why I have to charged more than $10 for a car wash and why I charge my amount to fix their car after its gone through the swirl o matic.

Maybe the analogy to use (particularly for women) is where do they get their hair done? After they answer at the salon, ask them why they don't go to their husband's barber shop and get it "done" for $10? And when they just give you that disgusted look, you can explain that's why you charge more than $10. We'll have to work on the sales pitch for men (maybe it's the same).

:iagree:

A lot of people have more money than they have brains and this is proof of the concept.
