Been raining here and was wondering if y'all do details with chances of rain or not? I mean if I had my vehicle detailed I wouldn't want it to rain lol but do I look at it from business point of view or reschedule my details?

If the client has a garage you can work in then I'm fine with it. Definitely have washed in the rain with my fishing gear on (grundens) then proceeded to the garage.

I've also had the skies open with half a car polished and had to return the next day.

Unless rain is a sure thing, I usually give it a shot and keep the date. but this is a weather sensitive profession you could say

Maybe a waterless wash if they have a garage you can detail in?

Well looks like I'll just be doing interior details till these scattered thunder storms stop.

Same thing here as far as the garage goes.

All the cars on my website that are shown in a garage are ones that we needed to finish inside. If its passing shower I'll just sit in my truck and wait for it to pass. Then time to dry it off and continue from where ever I was.

Unless the day is going to be a total washout I try to get it done. Rescheduling is tough for me because this time of the year I don't really have any time to fit them in.

As long as A) the customer has a garage and B) its not downpouring, I can still detail. But if not I just have to reschedule. It can be a real pain sometimes but this isn't my full time job so I don't have to worry about how I'm going to pay this months bills if I have to cancel or reschedule a job. If so, my viewpoint would probably have to change.

I had a car lined up yesterday that I had to reschedule due to rain. I was to pick the car up and drop off when done. I do most of my work in the driveway and finsh up in my garage. it was pouring when I called to cancel, 20 minutes later the sun was out. I had to have the car back by 1pm so I didn't want to risk not being able to complete the job. Mother Nature sucks.
