I recently purchased a Polishing Pal from autogeek. I enjoy using it to apply sealants/waxes, and I find that it is easier to use than a soft foam pad alone (except in areas where space is restricted, like directly underneath a side mirror).

My question is this: can I just purchase the 3.5 inch soft red pad by itself from autogeek? I found this combo on the site, but I'd prefer not to pay for the white polishing pads, since I anticipate using it with much less frequency.

Yep. i also love my polishin pal. The pads from the pack are all available individually (in sets of 2).

and also red alone as a "hydro tech"
Hydro-Tech 4 Inch Crimson Finishing Foam Pad

I just got the CSS pads. 2 white, 2 aqua/bluish and 2 reds. The CSS seems a little more absorbant than the Hydro tech but i figured i'd try something new. I havent used any of them yet.

I stick with the 4 inchers though to give a nice buffer around the edges so i dont have to worry about the velcro on the 'pal messing up my paint. I've even stuck a 6.5 on there before and it still worked great with Klasse AIO and Mothers Pure carnuba... you waste a little on the mothers paste but still works great.

In the search box at the top of AG.net just put in the color, hydrotech and 4 inch and if they have it, it comes up.

You can also use the 4-in Cyclo pads with the polishing pal as well.

The 4-inch pads can do double duty: polishing pal or on DA with a 3.75-in backing plate.

As far as I know, the pad that come with the Polishing Pal is unique to Autogeek Pol Pal package.
It is 3.5 inch size with beveled edges, which fit PBMG wax pots perfectly.
4" is a size up~

This is true. And while the quality of the "stock" polishin pal pads is quite nice. The 4 inch really provides a little more "cushion" from that velcro coming in contact with your paint.
