Noob from NJ

Union city is next to the lincoln tunnel, I'm closer to the GW bridge. Fairview, is between ridgefield and north bergen. Bergen county is pretty big. Where are you?

I'm in Hackensack, closer to Little Ferry and South Hackensack.

This is off-topic, but I'm going to try and put together my own car wash shampoo formulation....I work in a lab, so I can request ingredient samples and I can put it together at work...let's see how it works.

Best of luck with that. You never know, you might have a million dollar idea on your hands.

Million dollars? I highly doubt that, hopefully, I can save some money. Thanks!

From Bergen County also about 15min north! Welcome to the obsession errr... I mean hobby.

Welcome to AGO. I am from Passaic County. I've been looking for a place to have a meet also. I was at Poorboys detail weekend and learned a lot there.

The "meet" wouldn't be a contest, it would really be for people to trade tips, see products/polishers in action, try things out, ask questions, etc. and just get to hang out with like-minded people. Apparently they just did something like that in Norwood, but I never seem to find out about these things until after they are over.

Poorboy Steve up in Nyack also just hosted one of these earlier in the month, in our case we were trying for something a little more informal, but we never have any place to do it.

There is a detail supply store in Piscataway, he has hosted Meguiar's events there in the past but apparently is soured on that. It's called PAL Automotive, his hours aren't the greatest either, but he does have a good selection of Meg's products and some others, plus machines and pads, etc. Not sure if he has Grit Guards there.

There is a detail shop and supply store in Norwood that holds events and classes. I know the owner and he is a great guy. They do mostly high end details. I often take a ride up there to buy products. They also have a forum like AGO.

Thanks, I noted in the beginning of my post that they just had an event there. I was purposely trying to be vague being that we are talking about a competitor.

How often do they hold classes over in Norwood? I was thinking about heading over there on a Friday during my half day at work and check it out.

Oh boy here we go, it wasn't a "class", it was a sponsored demonstration (that's how it appeared to me, I wasn't there). That is, reps from a line sold at this store were there demonstrating their line.

Out of courtesy to AutoGeek, I don't really think we should be discussing this further. FWIW I have never been to any events there or even bought anything from there.
