Iron-X ??

Hi, I have Iron-X on the way and have a couple questions. First use will be on a new Honda Accord with 400 miles on it, metallic silver.

1. Product info says for paint and wheels. Should you/could you also use on glass, trim,
plastic like headlights and taillights, do front and rear bumpers count as "paint"?
Will iron particles embed in these non-painted surfaces/ should you Iron-X these areas?

2. Application seems to be mist on and spread lightly with sponge or XX and wait for it to
turn purple. Then rinse and wash. Any other tips?

3. On an Accord sized vehicle, how many ml's or oz's would be used -- without the wheels as I will use my Sonax wheel cleaner on them?

I'd only use it on paint including painted front and rear bumpers. I also use it on wheels if I plan to coat them...

the spray bottle should probably be good for 5 uses if you use the spray and spread technique...

Yes, you can. Just don't let it dry on the surface, and be sure to rinse all crevices VERY well, specially around headlights and bumper seams, don't let it dry on those spots.

I prefer a wash mitt over sponges, I keep one dedicated to IronX.

There is no problem if it dries on surface, just not under sunshine
rinsing well after is well good advise.

I had some rust from a bike rack in the back of my truck that had bled down onto the plastic bumper. iron x removed it from Line-X and plastic trim easily.

As to how much to use, on the paint Ive found that good light coverage works best, no need to over do it and waste product. I doubt you would need much at all if any on the wheels give their is only 400 miles on the car.

Good advice here, IX is perfectly safe on all the areas you mention (glass and plastic) as well.

All I can add is consider agitating it with a sponge just before or as you rinse. No need for pressure as the IX does all the work. Depending on how long you have it on the surface it can start to dry. You want to make sure you get it all off as your rinsing.
