Please Help!!
I have a 2004 Acura TL with anthracite metallic color. My left front fender was repainted and after awhile the clear coat started looking dull. I had someone attempt to bring back the shine but it did not last. I bought the Pinnacle advanced swirl remover and used an orange pad, advanced finishing polish with a gray pad, and with the souveran paste wax a red pad.

I tried to give it a go to remove the fine to moderate scratches that can be seen when looking at the clear coat from an angle but the scratches are still visible. Any advice on another product and technique? Feed back please

Wonder what orange to white to gray/red pads would do. The gray pad might not have enough polishing ability to remove.

How many passes? Any improvement at all (can/did you do a test spot?) What machine are you using? Is your backing plate marked to ensure it didn't stop spinning as you were doing a small/vertical area? (Happened to me more than once)

A bit more info will help narrow down the options.

This issue involves only my left front fender, and I did not really keep track of how many passes I did. I am using a PC7424xp DA polisher. How and where to do a test spot? My backing plate is not marked although I just read a thread which mentioned doing that-it is a good idea!

My LC gray pad actually looks black or a very dark gray(not the color I saw when I ordered it). Any advice would be appreciated. :xyxthumbs:
