I had this car for about 1.5 years now and it needed a detail badly so I decided to a full detail this past weekend. I am a beginner so let me know what you guys think :xyxthumbs:
This is the condition of the car before the wash:
So then I used my foam gun with Maxium Suds II
Then I started to clean my wheels with Mothers Wheel and Tire cleaner. I also applied the BLACKFIRE Total Eclipse Tire Gel to the tires.
Before:
After:
I then started to hand wash my car with the Meguiars Gold Class soap using the Micro-Chenille Wash Mitt.
Then I brought the car inside the garage to start the claying process using the Meguiars Clay kit. I used the sandwich bag test and I felt a few bumps across the hood. Every time I tried to make a round circle with the clay, it became a square hehe
After claying the car, you can truly see the condition of the paint. There a lot swirls, bird etching and water spots.
Then I started to tape the car off so I can begin the polishing step.
My test spot:
I first started using the Menzerna PF (white ccs pad) and then finishing it with the PO85RD (gray css pad). After these two steps my paint was swirl, etch and water spot free
I then proceeded to polish the whole car with my PC7424XP.
After polishing:
After polishing, I did a 10% IPA wipe down and then I applied BFWD sealant and topped it off the XMT 360 Spray Wax. I couldn't believe how much the black car paint popped (wet, glossy look).
