Good canopy for sunshine detailing?

That's what I'm talking about. Can you give us details (brand, price)?
You need at least 10x20 if you want to cover a whole car. It might not be large enough for all cars but it will be close

i had an suv under it , i use the tent when i know for sure that is a dark color car and no shade, or correction is required.
the brand is undercover if i remember right , is the one with x profile tubes. i think was around $600, but is build solid ; and i did have an 12x12 before and was too flimsy

How long does it take you to put that up?

I must canopy challenged or something. it took me 45 min to set up my 12x12 i bought the other day :( . Doesnt cover much either so maybe i should invest in something like Cosmin

i weight 175 pounds and i haven`t been in the gym for years , takes me less than 5 minutes , around 3 minutes probably with all the weights done.

i open it like an umbrella , you need extra space when you open it.
i think over 10 mph wind you may have to add some ropes at corners just to be on safe side.
i use it when are projects over 4-5 hours. i do not carry it with me all the time , just when i have in the schedule some project that shade is not available.
i am happy with it so far.

Does that have to be on a close to a leveled surface? Can it work on a driveway that has an little incline?

in the pic where the audi is covered , the outside leg is more extended than others, so i guess , it can be limited adjust based of the ground level.
i did not use it on big angles driveways. with high wind can slide easily i guess.... gravity :)

Thanks for the info Cosmin. I'll have to look into one of those

Have you thought about a CR Spotless system? It would be great for washing when you can't get full shade or if it's real hot

Just checked harbor freight. They have a 10 x 10 on sale for $64.99 and a 10 x 20 for $149.99. The 10 x 20 has pretty decent reviews.

The only downside i see from those canopies is that they are too tall to effectively block out any sun on the sides.

I got that 10 x 20 this past weekend, takes a while to set up with 2 people. Couldn't get the tarp stretched enough to attach the elastic straps. Gave up and returned it. I have an easy up style from harbor freight (2years ago it was $49) that's 10x10 that takes 3 minutes to setup by myself and when the sun is coming from the side i just clamp a tarp on that side. Much better than the 10 x 20 for sure in my opinion.

I bought a blue tarp and used it on the sides to block the sun along with some heavy to clips/clamps

Undercover appears to have a 10x20 non-commercial canopy for $311. Any reason for a weekend detailer not to trust a lighter-weight version from a decent company?

the tent i have is Undercover UC-2 PRO ,aluminum , total $568 , i think the gravity tubes are in the total price .
getundercover.com , is where i got it fromIm the MAN

Yeah, I figured that's the one you have. Just wondering if the non-commercial version would be fine for casual, weekend detailers.

I got an 10*20 impact canopy with a comercial aluminum frame, very sturdy, takes 5 minutes to open up, really love it, service is great, but it did cost around 500$ from costco's website
