Before ShotsI didn't get a lot or very good camera shots to show the before condition but here's a few....

This shot is just to frame up the below shot which I cropped out of this shot. The thing to remember is the entire finish, both horizontal panels and vertical panels were completely trashed with scratches.

This is the passenger side front corner of the hood...
2012CamaroFin018.jpg

Dull, hazy, filled with swirls and scratches and the clearcoat was no where near clear.

And this is off a BRAND NEW CAR?
If you watched the Live Broadcast, you saw me clay most, not all but most of JUST the hood. Keep in mind this Camaro has only 2000 miles on it since purchased new. Look at all the brown crud that came off the hood using Blackfire Detailing Clay.

Where has this car been since rolling out of the assembly plant?
Anyone want to guess what the brown stuff is?

Looking forward to a great show tonight and we have something special planned for you all. Wonder what it could be.... You'll just have to tune in tonight at 6:00 pm e.s.t. to see.

See you there!

***Update***

Tyler and Paul are back tonight to help out... Tyler is an incredibly polite young man and just as eager to learn everything he can about detailing cars. This will be a lot of fun...

The car has arrived!

Over on my Facebook page a detailer posted this,

can u work on a car that really needs a treatment.... a car that is in bad shape NOT ON A NEW CAR PLEASE.....

And I've heard this before, it happened for the 1954 Ford F100 we buffed out here. Most people looked at the truck and thought it looked GOOD!

Thing is I don't inspect paint like the average person and neither do any of you. Here's what the truck really looked like before we worked on it.

Pictures can make it look like the car looks fine and that's what most people assume about a BRAND NEW CAR

Except, I have a video here that shows otherwise. In fact, this Camaro is completely filled with swirls and scratches!

So yeah, it's new but don't we all know how cars are treated at new car dealerships?

Hang tight as I'm uploading the video right now!

Anyone that's been reading my posts for any length of time knows the word I use to describe paint in the condition on this Camaro know the word is

Horrific!

:dunno:
