Looking for a detailer in Florida!!! Please Help!

Hello,

I have a 2012 Hyundai Genesis Sedan.
I live in Daytona Beach, but I am willing to travel as far as Tampa, Jacksonville, etc.

I've been having a huge detailing disaster this whole year.

So far I have went to 3 different "reputable" detailers and not only did they not fix the issue I was having, they made them 100x worst!

It seems on my ENTIRE car even the top of it, I have holograms / vortex swirls to the point it is so embarrassing to drive my car. You can even see it at night time under a street light.

Can I find a detailer that can actually FIX this issue and not just try and cover it up for a few days and make it seem like it's gone and then comes back three days later.

I've spent nearly 500 dollars so far on detailers and it has gotten me NO WHERE.
Please can someone help me out and get these marks out of my car permanently?

This car is not even a year old and it looks horrible! I can't even enjoy it no more.... It's been depressing me each time I'm driving it

PLEASE, someone with years of experience reply to this thread if you can FIX this issue.
I'm starting to give up hope that anyone can get this fixed at this point. :(

PS: I currently don't have time to learn myself to detail unfortunately.

Off the top of my head I know Garry Dean is in Tampa. I know there are others as well.
 
Those holograms are easy to remove. Why don't you just get a DA and do it yourself?

Garry Dean is in Tampa if you would rather pay a profesional

I'm in Washington State, but there are many, many detailers on this board in Florida. Looks like you have major holograms/buffer trails caused by unskilled use of a rotary buffer.

I second Flash. If those holograms bother you, that alone puts you in an elite group of people. Do it yourself, its so much more satisfying to look at your car glisten and shine and to know you did it. With the products AG sells, the information thats available through AG and on this forum, it is really easy.
 
Florida?! Go drive to AG Headquarters and ask Mike Philips, the man himself! or another good one is Corey, or Stone Cold Steve Austin (Garry Dean)

Having said that I would love to help if you guys don't work something out due to distance, schedule, or what have you. I'm in Deltona but don't detail full time. Busy schedule with my other jobs so Stephen might have a better schedule for you anyway. If not let's hook up and make that beauty show her depth once again.

Looks like another case of detailers that think they can finish out hologram free using only a rotary buffer.


Hologram Free with a Rotary Buffer


I never say that a hologram free finish can't be achieved using only a rotary buffer but that most people,

  • Don't check
  • Don't know how to check
It's really simple, for the last machine polishing step... change the action of the tool, that is switch over to a DA Polisher and then you don't have to worry and you don't have to check anything. So simple.


Just about every week I get e-mails from people that have this same problem. They send me e-mails because they find me via the forum but they're not forum members. The explain their problem, (Hack Detailer swirls out their car with a rotary buffer), and then ask for help.

I always suggest the below,

  • Join the forum
  • Start a thread asking for a Pro Detailer in their area
I tell them,

Detailers that hang out on a forum like AutogeekOnline.net know more than detailers that don't hang out on forums at all.

Forums are where "good" information is shared and this helps detailers to do the work right the first time, not swirl everyones cars out.

The sad thing is, when a car is swirled out, precious paint was removed. Wool pads and compounds that put swirls into the paint are putting SCRATCHES into the paint.

Scratches are voids in the paint, it's missing paint.

In order to level the paint to remove the voids, MORE precious paint has to be removed by a Pro detailer undoing the other guys damage.


So if you're a lurker reading this and looking for a Pro Detailer, do yourself a favor and join our forum and start a thread asking for help as you can see by the qualified recommendations made in this thread you will get the right person.

To the OP, Dominic,

You have two choices,

  • Get a DA Polisher and undo the damage yourself and then be able to always to your own work.
  • Hire one of the guys recommended in your thread.
Both approaches will work.
