Chicagoland Detail Day is Sept 23rd!

I live in Carol Stream and work in Northlake. I have the Griot's 6" DA. LMK! :xyxthumbs:

Yeah, that's what I have too, along with their 3" RO but I wanna try out an actual buffing wheel w/ a wool pad......anyone?

How about a Makita 9227 or a Flex 3403 with a solo wool ? Can do.Got both.

I wish I still lived in the area, I grew up in Bourbonnais, IL home of the Chicago Bears training camp. :props:

2old2chhange, it doesn't matter to me, just as long as its a good buffer and not a RO, thanks;-) I think I posted this a while ago but I've got dibs on the Civic's drivers side fender. Oh yeah, I'll be bringing enough rinseless wash to do 2 cars, so if anyone hasn't used this yet and wanna see what all the fuss is about, here's your chance. I will also bring my pair of buckets, Aqua sponge and my mf detailing glove for doing the tires an wheels, so the car washing stuff is covered by yours truely.

Too funny, small world, I live in Bourbonnais about 5 minutes from the camp and have never been there. What street did you live on?

I'll be bringing along my 849X and GG6. I'll have both wool and 8 1/2 foam pads for people to try. Klasse I'll try to remember to bring some BL for you.

Maybe I'm using the wrong term here, I have the GG random orbital and I wanna try out/learn the machine that's faster than mine, the type the pro's use that you've gotta know what your really doing with it and thought those machines primarily used wool pads but I guess they could use foam as well.

I have a whole Gallon of ONR....we have to find a way to use some of mine up too ;-)

Well Chalm, as far as I know, we've got 2 cars to wash so it would be 2 oz's total. If you wanted to give out samples I'm sure those who don't have any and are impressed with it would gladly take some. If you've got so much, why don't you make some QD out of it?

So who is setting up the webcam so those of us that can't make it can still be part of the fun?

Just teasing! Have a blast guys and do be sure to take and share pictures. :)

I'll hook some peoples up....it would be my pleasure. Probably mix the rest up in a Hudson Sprayer for the winter pre soaks and washes.

I grew up on Villabrook by Perry Farm, I moved to MA almost 3 yrs. ago to connect with the other side of my other family. The camp is actually pretty fun, I will admit you gotta be a Bears fan in order to enjoy it, lol. What street are living on?:dblthumb2:

Southampton in Briarcliff. Not too far from Villabrook. I'm a Bears fan but just don't take the time to go over there. You still have family here?

Another Bourbonnais guy checking in. Moved down here for work in March.

I just thought you needed to step up from the RO to the Flex type machine, along with wool pads when trying to bring bad heavy duty swirls and faded paint. Looks like I'll be learning something here and its exactly what I was hoping for when setting this up, along with meeting some new poeple and checking out some nice rides of all types.

Speaking of that, how about a list of our rides....
