Hi! I just got into the detailing business. I prefer a Dewalt DW849 buffer/polisher over any other. I am looking foward to meeting everyone and getting even more expert advice! Welcome to the forum, but I have to say...you "just" got into the detailing business, and you're hiring people with no experience required and you use rotaries in your shop...yup, that sounds like a dealer detailing department! That's ok, more work for the rest of us.

Haha, I guess i was overly excited signing up to this forum. Let me clarify, I have been in the automotive business for over 10 years, as far as "detailing" I know very little. I have a co-worker that has been in the body shop/detailing field for over 20 years. From what he has taught me in the past 5 months, I'd prefer the Dewalt over the other power buffers we have in the shop. The reason for hiring, is because I know very little, however, I feel someone would have an advantage of learning just as I am learning. After all, that is one main reason I joined this forum!! I apologize if it sounded out of context.

It's all good. What you do in the dealer detail bay is probably going to be a bit different than what you'll read about here.
