I own a 2007 Ford F-150 (used to pull my mobile trailer) The truck is washed every other day and looks absolutely beautiful. The seats on the other hand are not looking so well. My wife spilled a bottle of water on the seat and it left a ring when it dried. How can i get this out? I bought some folex at lowes today, should i dilute it? if so what ratio in a 32oz spray bottle.

Use folex straight. Good luck on the seats.

Try DP Total interior Cleaner, make sure u do a test spot first though. Spray some on, blot and scrub a little with a MF towel. Also, if you dilute anything, use DISTILLED water. The reason for the water ring is because of the minerals. Distilled water is free of minerals.
Or isntead of using DP cleaner, just try distilled water and see if that works for ya.

After you get the water stain out, use GTechniq I1 to protect your seats from staining again.

I have a 04 I heard the 04-07 actually had some type of defect in the material. They get water stains all the time. If you get them uniformly wet then let them uniformly dry they will look fine. Of course once you get water on them they will spot in that area.

I have a hot water extractor. It always removes the water stains after it drys.

thanks everyone, im going to try the distilled water route first since its just water..Then protect them with the G Techniq 11..has anyone ever heard of the red max protectant they sell at lowes?

:iagree:
This is absolutely true. You will find that those seats will drive you crazy trying to keep the damn water stains from reappearing especially if they are light colored seats. Good luck!
