Just did what seems to be my Saturday morning ritual, wash all the salt and muck off and let the car sit till I have to go work Monday, actually Tuesday in this weekends case.
I should do a mini review of the new products I used and am about to use:
1. To wash the car I used the sample I received with one of my recent orders and that was MCKEE'S Rinseless wash and wax. This was the larger sample size, 4 ounce and I was very happy with the results. You could actually see the wax in the mix when washing the car! For you smell freaks out there you will love this stuff, banana smell and the color is yellow.
2. Griots Garage fine grade wash mitt. I also recently recieved this and the FAST grade clay towels in my orders. My Nan9skin gave up the ghost after doing an outstanding job but I wanted to try the GG towels as their products NEVER disappoint, same deal here. I used it right out of the box and it knocked out the little bit of grit I had on the car. I'm a firm believer in "clean as you go" and this towel helps me do just that. After cleaning each panel I resprayed the panel for more lubricity and go to it. You could feel the panel getting smoother and smoother and you just keep moving along, no problem.
3. Mini Big Blue drying towel. Now I reviewed this last weekend but it was the middle sized one, this time I wanted to see if the mini was just as mighty...IT WAS! The towel was damp to the touch but kept soaking up the solution, just like it's larger brother. Once again I would like to thank NICK for chowing me as one of the winners to try out and review these towels.
4. Griot's Garage tire gel. Once again, another item I ordered to try out. Now as everyone knows I'm a huge fan and user of TW tire coating but I had to give this a try for a couple reasons. The first reason was it said it didn't sling off. Next was it lasts for weeks and finally it's something new from Griots and as they don't just rush out products to "keep up with the Jones' (those people are so hard to track down) I knew it could be something special. Now I applied TW tire coating last year to the tires and it seems to be doing just fine, could use a re-touch but I'm going to apply a thin, single coat and see how it goes. I will report back with a separate review for this at some point down the road but I need to go upstairs and get it now, thanks for reading.
