The Post a Picture of Your Ride as it Sits Thread

Took my car and the Jeep to a touchless wash. Wiped down the Jeep and gave it a 3rd layer of Mothers CMX.
Then after dinner, I went out and swapped the headlight from old-school Halogens to modern day LED's. See thread here for the 2000% improvement in light.

Ok, or maybe I should say IK, the FNW is in the books, couple interesting things tonight...***WARNING*** Foam and expensive wheel foam content and talk coming

So as you can see in the first pic, the car is battered in salt, this isn't 2 weeks worth like that one wash was, this is ONE WEEKS WORTH! The 2nd pic shows the tools to get the job done, properly, safely and funly The final pic is when it's all done for the night, let's get it!

I started with Power Clean @ 1:1 in the wheel wells, no foaming sprayer used here, just a 500 ML Kwazzer, let it dwell. Moving onto the tires, once again, no foam but rather the just released Gyeon tire cleaner and short brissel brush. ***WARNING*** Foam use just ahead! I made up a gallon of the Auto-Fanatic foaming wheel cleaner but this time I changed it up, made an even weaker formula, 3 oz into a gallon of distilled. The lowest recommended ratio is listed as 5 oz, for maintenance cleanings but I wanted to see what happens when you stretch it out a but further and guess what...IT WORKED! When I went to rinse the wells, tires and wheels they all came out great! Once again...NO agitation needed on the rims. Now its time for the car itself.

So I mixed in 2 ounces of CG's Citrus wash into my IK Foam 9 and added very warm water in there and got to FOAMING! The warm water made the product rundown the sides but enough stuck around though and it rinsed down clean, time for the 2BM. Even though I picked out my soap for the 2BM I changed my mind and reached for Bilt-Hamber auto-wash, 1 oz did the trick, stuff is so concentrated. Combined with my Griot's Garage wash mit it did an amazing job , both of them. Once I was done washing and rinsing I decided to try something...Mequiars ceramic hybrid wax! While wet I sprayed the product onto the wet car and wiped in with a mf sponge, wiped in and buffed off. Because it was kinda cool down in the garage I decided to wipe it in on the entire car and then rinse off, beading was very good. Once the car was entirely dried I decided to apply a 2nd coat, this time to a dry vehicle. I sprayed the product into the mf applicator and went around the whole car and THEN removed. I must say it came off and looked great, surely the warmer weather makes this experience MUCH better. Now the car is done, tomorrow the tires see some Gyeon Tire Express but for now this is how they look after the scrub and rinse, not too bad durability. Additional pics tomorrow and btw I sprayed Purple Power on my WeatherTech, they came out great!!

Hope you enjoyed the pics, good night now

I just noticed I put this in the wrong thread, I was soooo tired, worked 11 hrs yesterday, came home and got my products and tools together and mb headed down stairs. Ended up going to bed around 1 a.m., I hope this stuff doesn't catch up with me, I'm 49 yrs old now, LOL.

Here's a pic in keeping with the thread, nicer days here...and WARMER!

Looks good. My only insight is to ditch the HDR look. Tonal contrast enhancements help but you have to keep them in the 10-20% range.

To quote Hawk Harlison...HE GONE!

Yeah, it looks fake as hell and that's NOT fake news, LOL. I have a Galaxy S8 and used the "auto" setting that came with the phone. Is there a settings button, I'm severely tech stupid...by choice as I'm sure Derek0609 will attest.
