I know that feeling. When I fitted the 18s to the impulse blue SV6 I put up in a previous post, I had it booked in for a service a week later. When I dropped it off, I told the Service Manager that the wheels were brand new, be VERY careful. Did that happen, nope. 3 of the 4 wheels had paint chipped around the holes for the wheel nuts, 2 or 3 on each one. Of course they paid to have them fixed, and gave me a lone car for a whole week while it was done.I know, I really need to get them changed.
The tires have plenty of meat on them as the car has only done 6,800 km / 4225 miles but they are definitely aged.
I'm terrified of the tire fitter jacking up my perfect, un-marked rims. I had that happen on the XR6 when I had new tires fitted so I suppose I'm a bit gun shy.
I'm sure you can not only find a really good place but I find a "lunch tip" can help things along tooI know, I really need to get them changed.

It stayed about an inch deep in the backyard overnight. And water was still dripping out of the garage door when I opened it yesterday. I can't figure out where it's hiding, but at least it's less each day. The wind was so strong, the pot plants at the front of the house spun 90 degrees sideways. Very weird.Big Dave, 2 inches of rain in 20 minutes? Now that’s some Forrest Gump rain! Any flooding?

Wish we had these stateside. Ford robbed us again. Between Falcons and all the awesome Holden models Aussies arguably were more spoiled by US car manufacturers than people in the US. LolFinished work early so I could get the big Falcon out of the garage for a drive.
Just a nice country road drive, although some heavy applications of throttle were needed!
It took all of my self control to not add a few fat Dunlop scented marks at my photo location.
Although, maybe that would help accelerate the need to get some Michelin PS4S's. This car still wears it's factory fitted Dunlop SP Sport Maxx tires, widely regarded as truly terrible in containing the grunt on tap. After nearly 7 years, these things are even worse now. The traction control flashes in 3rd gear, pointing in a straight line!
That's a real nice lookin' ride, sleeper-ishHi everyone! New here. Here's my GLI after I gave it a rinseless wash last weekend and topped up the ~6 month old CQuartz with some Griot's 3-in-1 Ceramic. It's been parked in the garage most of the week cause it's been raining and I didn't want to undo my work, lol.

What bolt-ons?Thanks! It's a great car. Same mechanicals as the current GTI. It's already got a few bolt-ons, I'll get around to tuning it sooner or later for the real gains.
Must be a joy walking out to it everyday and surely you look back several times walking away from it
I actually have some, but waiting to finish my old wheel cleaner lolMust be a joy walking out to it everyday and surely you look back several times walking away from it
Need to try some Brake Buster cleaning the rims and tires, rotors don't get as rusty

Your going to love it! It's better in a foamer but I've used it in a now-foamer as well. Its going to cut down on rust on the rotors but about 2/3 rdsI actually have some, but waiting to finish my old wheel cleaner lol

Your a VDub guy for sure, already moddedIt's got an intake, 3" down pipe and cat-back exhaust so far. I'm itching to get a Cobb Accessport and throw a tune on there, but they aren't cheap and idk if I'm ready to completely give up my 7 year warranty yet
