The Post a Picture of Your Ride as it Sits Thread

Been busy with a lot of things and yes details too but am hopefully back after a while away.

Had a chance to give a spring cleaning to the family haulers. Wife's needs some good pics yet but I'm going to wait until I re-do the coating with something new :)

They all look great but I love that Accord!

Thanks. I just wish the Accord was available in Soul Red that Mazda Offers. Honda's red is nice and all but still.....paired up with White Leather it would be awesome.

Couple other pics from me the Wh0re. LOL!

Your work is top notch, all the cars look amazing!!
I love the look of a finished black vehicle, they are mezmorizing. But just painfull work for me. Put hours into a job well done and go in to take a shower after, come out and you just see the layer of dust already. I feel like Charlie Brown after Lucy pulls the football away, lol. I always feel bad for the Buick Grand National gang, such a fanatical love for their cars crowd and every spec of dust chase them.:autowash:

That Mazda Red is the best on the market IMO. Gorgeously deep and glowing. But I’m a huge fan of the 2018+ Accords, I’d probably get a 2.0T but I really love the Accord Hybrid too.

Yeah it's a unique red, like a blood red

Soul red is nice for sure. Boy have I seen some awful color matches on repairs though.

V8? Might be because of gas no-one choosing. Win for you.

No telling, there are certainly enough of them running around

Maybe because I’m a gold member

IDK but I’ll take it

I see it has the "Hertz colored" guards on it, even they can't figure out how and more importantly WHY they should be removed

Enjoy the rental....FLOOR IT ============

I punched it a couple of times going about 25

It gets to 80 real fast

I also spent a few minutes this morning sipping coffee and walking around it planning a paint correction in my mind

This thing is massive but the panels are flat and smooth except for the hood scoop and you could just go to town with a Rupes 15mm running 5” pads

A quick one step and a nice spray on sealant…

Then a quick interior wipe down…

What?

I’m normal…

Doesn’t everyone plan out detailing their rental car?

Honestly for a rental car leaving them on is probably not a bad idea

Might prevent some curb rash

I could care less how it looks

I drove the crap out of that car today, driving from Pahoa to Kilauea volcano, down several roads to overlooks and then down to the coast just short of where the lava dumps into the ocean

Driving back up I put it in manual and used the paddle shifters and it was a hoot

More power than I have ever driven

It snarls

Yes, it has a Hemi badge

I have seen the red eye demon in a video

I grew up during the late 60s early 70s muscle car era

My best friend in high school had a Z28 that was very quick and very fast

I enjoyed riding in it but my first ride was a 66 Chevy pickup and I guess that pointed me to the off road and 4x4 gear head route

I just never craved a muscle car, but I admit it’s fun

The 8 speed auto in that challenger is an excellent transmission too.

Using the stick in manual seemed backwards to me

I never got close to 8th gear

Now, cruising across Montana, that would use 8th I think

At 45 I had to go to manual because it kept dropping down below about 1,200 and ghost shifting between 5th and 6th

My work colleague (now friend) had a Charger Hellcat and I didn’t realize it was actually a Hellcat when I first rode in it to lunch. The back seat was comfortable and seemed like a regular car though I saw some badges that I thought were Hemi initially. This was when Hellcats were only a few months old and on the way back we started talking about the Hellcats and the people in the car were telling me this is one. I said no way, way too comfortable. Then he got on it and I heard the supercharger whine. Really impressive car as it could drive like a normal sedan or like a true hell car. Well named.

I had a project in Orlando so I was renting a car every week for several months in the early 2000s. I got a comfortable Cadillac DTS boat one week and a new Acura TL another week. At the time I had a 2000 Acura TL with 225 HP and the new 2005 TLs had about 275 HP. I put a ton of miles on that car that week. Had way too much fun. Didn’t drive like a sports car or a European sports sedan but it was a lot of fun anyway.
