The Post a Picture of Your Ride as it Sits Thread

I haven't yet but I've gotta say that the DIY Detail RW is pretty good and finishes out nicely. There's so many good ones out there but I'll probably buy the small size of P&S' newest product

Was able to try the BH pre wash a couple weeks ago and was quite impressed. I didn't really even let it sit on there long before running it through the wash but it did a fine job of doing what I was hoping it would do.

Glad you liked it and more dwell time is always better

Ya, I miss timed it in the wash line, next time I will do it off to the side first....

I have only used it once but have been messing around with it for a dish pre soak lol.....as in home plates and silver wear. Also used it on my outside top windows of the house.

Definitely a impressive product.

I'm lucky as there's usually noone there or maybe a car or two in line, so I foam tye car twice, let it dwell and then get in line.

Now my car is freshly coated and "topped" but I'll say this, after the first 2 carwash pre-washes and rinses the beads are incredible, small, tight ones by the millions (atleast it looks like that) and just resets the coating

Btw which Bilt-Hamber pre-wash did you go with again

Bilt Hamber Auto Foam...... that's the right one isn't it?

Although I'm new to rinse-less, I can say that you definitely need to try Absolute!

My trick when using Absolute is to mist a little bit of Bead Maker over the panel just before drying, the gloss and slickness is insane.

Only think to note with Absolute is to shake the bottle very well prior to use and mix vigorously in the bucket.

Not a bad idea. I would not want to use my good drying towels with wax, sealant, ceramic in it. I think over time the towels become less obsorbant.

Have you found this to be true?

Maybe, but that would be over several years.

I wash towels immediately after use with Rags to Riches and have done this for years now and have not had issues with towels losing their absorbency. Towels are to be used and are considered consumables to me, if they loose performance, then they are replaced.

True, although the towels i use to apply sealants and and si02 spray products i have noticed that in 1-2 years they have lost obsorbancy. Maybe cuz i dont wash right after use.

They make 2 pre-washes, Auto-foam and Touchless. Their pH levels are fairly close but IMO they're basically the same product, one is sugar-based and right now I can't think of which one that is.

When it's time for a carwash I can honestly say that their AutoWash is incredible, a pure wash and VERY concentrated and to be taken seriously there

Yeah so far everyrhing I’m reading on it is putting it at #1. I got a gallon of ONR and a 32oz of absolute on same order. Now wishing it was other way around.

Yup that’s it. If your not gonna wash right away just throw them in a bucket with some R2R or whatever MF detergent your using (you are using MF detergent?) till you wash.

Touch-less is sugar based.

I have both and for me AF works a little better than touch-less. BH says that depending on your traffic film and grime one may work better than other.

Touch- less has a lower PH (12) at proper dilution AutoFoam is 13/14.

I'm always thinking about narrowing down what products to use and being as fast and efficient as possible. As much as I like keeping my car clean, I don't like overcomplicating the process and cluttering everything up with a thousand products.

My routine starting next year will be - prewash with BH AF/Touchless, power wash off, follow up with a RW. I will re-coat the truck with some coating after CC wears off. I will also likely use the RW for interior and glass as well. Just thinking out loud here....

I can't say one RW is better than the other. I've used Griot's, ONR, Feynlab and Ech20. All worked well. Ech20 is more of a QD IMO. Doesn't encapsulate or drop dirt to bottom. DIY is on my list and may replace ONR going forward. The Feynlab is the standout one though. Different than all the others. Really saturates the surface better than the others.

Like it. Not a fan of RW for glass (streaks) but haven’t tried ONR. For the interior, I’m kinda weird. Never had dash crack or fade were I thought I needed UV protection but for some reason I can’t get behind using Rinseless.

I’ve read we’re some leave residue (not ONR). But I don’t think it’s that. I just like interior QD’s and love the way a dash looks after preserve or PBL L&V.

I’m pretty sure the just look like a clean dash after a week. Same with leather. A nice wipe down with damp cloth all they should need.

Went to the local shops for some last minute supplies, didn't even try to park inside, everybody be crazy. Parked in the street outside, and yes, I got some looks from the people stuck in the traffic. It hasn't been washed for about 6 weeks.
