I'm 40 years old so the 4th Gen. Ls1 Trans Am came out when I was in high school and that's all she wrote lol. Had to have one.

Pretty wicked looking cars imo when ya seen them driving around combined with probably the best car commercials of all time.

I took this at the local shops, forgot I had the phone camera in the portrait setting, so the background is partially blurred, makes it look a bit like a miniature. It still looks shiny after 2 days of solid rain.

I went to Great Lakes Dragway with my buddy Marcin today. I didn't race because Michelin X-Ice but he did. His best was 13.1@109 mph w/2.3 60 ft, 46 degrees and worn summer perf tires aren't a good combo

These are custom made wheels made by an Assie company...$5K a set, these are so cool because they didn't make them in 16" size new. "Factory aftermarket" to the next level

I loved these when I first saw them around 30+ years ago. We never saw them new in Australia, but a few have made their way here since. 2 litre turbo and AWD drive before that was popular. From around the same time that Toyota was doing the Celica GT Four. Still going for anywhere from 30k - 50k in Australia.

A friend showed me his new ride, Nissan Juke in Fuji Sunset Red, he traded in his FJ Cruiser. I think he made the right choice on colour. They also traded in his wife's Nissan Patrol on a new Qashqai E-power. So they've gone from a 4 litre V6 and a 5.6 litre V8 to a 1litre turbo and a 1.5 litre turbo "sort of hybrid", a lot less power, but using barely a third the fuel they were before.

I think that Juke looks great, never had a problem with the 1st gen, especially the NISMO/RS models. People seem to like "missionary position" looking vehicles and when someone goes outside the box to mix it up, they can't seem to handle it.

That new Juke you guys and other parts of the world get is even more sleek than the original, too bad we don't get it. So that Juke has a 1.5L turbo and the other ride has a 1L turbo?

The 1.0 turbo is in the Juke, driving through a CVT, which is a new experience to him. I had to tell him that full throttle is no good with a CVT, for some reason they seem to accelerate better at 2/3 to 3/4 throttle, maybe there's some slippage at full throttle.

The 1.5 turbo is in the E-power Qashqai, and it doesn't drive the car at all, it just supplies electricity to the battery or the electric drive motor, or both simultaneously, and you can't plug it in, it only gets electricity from the 1.5 or regenerative braking. I guess the 1.0 turno wasn't powerful enough for this application.

Both are 3 cylinders, which I find weird.

The Qashqai went for a 2 hour drive on the freeway today, came back almost as clean as it left, only 2 tiny dead bugs. Also, that's not blue sky on the horizon, that's an incoming thunder storm. Time to move it back inside.
