Wet Glaze 2.0 Available !?

Due to this thread I ordered some and received it yesterday. I wiped down the hoods of our two RAV4's with Poorboy's Spray & Wipe then applied the glaze by hand with a MF applicator. I wiped it off immediately and saw more subtle reflections on the already shiny surfaces. By the way one is White Pearl, the other is Champagne/Sand in color.

Another quick coat really brought things to life......I am impressed and that's not an easy task. The fact that it is not a temporary "show car only" product that washes right off was a major factor in deciding to purchase. The glowing, majorly reflective look with subtle shadows is nothing short of head turning.

Thanks for the heads up that this is once again available and even improved over the original formula.

Glad your happy with the product, I am going to pick up more myself. Would love to know how long it last on a daily driver.
 
you guys got me curious, I found it online and am considering ordering it. Any update on durability?
 
Okay I've had 2 bottles on back order with the parent company for what seems to be a lifetime. No response to my calls or emails I finally contested the charge with Visa and they reversed it once they could not get a response either.

Now I know Amazon is different. I doubt I'd get jerked around by them. I'm typically not a big fan of glazes. Do the polishing the right way and this short term product isn't needed IMO on daily drivers. But you know what they say about the Holly Grail of Shine, so that hook is still trolling in the water. Still not convienced.

What about for customers who don't want correction? This is perfect for detailers who work on customers cars that don't want to pay too much. Also people who don't want correction or don't have the time to do it on their own car can get great results from glaze.

I ordered it direct and got it in six days. The price was less than Amazon with free shipping. I still have all the equipment and knowledge for full correction detailing but the desire to do so is long gone. For me it does exactly what I want and quickly.

As mentioned above by ihaveacamero not all customers are willing to pay for perfection. I wish I had this when I was detailing. I would have taken a lot more jobs that just wanted their car(s) to look good. Back then I used Klasse AIO (pre VOC compliant formula) and it was okay but quite expensive. The shimmering wet look of this blows it away, there's no two ways about it.

No way I can speak to durability.....we drive so little we only fill up once a month and cars are garaged the rest of the time. I can say that this morning the surfaces I did yesterday feel like silk, not slick like FK425, but silky. If it cools down some this evening I'll do a few more panels.
 
if you aren't able to get the wg2.0, another option and was all the rage many years ago is the pink moose combo by clearkote...

I ordered direct and received it in a few days. Nothing beats a proper correction/polish and on a DD if this last a month or two it is worth it in my opinion providing the customer wants it and knows the durability. My car is just for show and received the "full boat" treatment over the summer. WG 2.0 definitely made a difference in the shine, depth and gloss of the paint and I would use/buy again for show purposes. Plus on a garaged/weekend car this should last a long time.

Another use for glazes like this is lease returns. The dealers like to use glazes on their new car dealer prep, give it right back to them on return. I have done a couple of lease returns with a wash, spot correction, glaze and right back to the dealer for return with no issues.
 
Okay you guys have some valid points. BTW I never said there wasn't a use for glaze. I know glaze will make most detail jobs look great. I keep seeing that hook in the water, you guys have me close to pulln the trigger.

Glad to hear The Detail Shoppe actually delivered.

My experience with WG is that it doesnt "hide" or "fill" well. Don't use it for that. They call it a "pure gloss enhancer" and that is what it does best. I use it as a 'nuba topper and am always impressed with the results. It's so easy to use it's even fun to wipe on and off. No dust - no streaks. I use it by hand, as the application is so easy. I swear I can see the reflection increasing as I wipe it off. Leaves a slick surface - almost like a glossy quick detailer, but in a "sealant" form.

As for before and after photos, don't expect much. It's pretty hard to capture before and after gloss with a camera. It the sort of subjective thing you see when you step back and look at your work. It just adds that extra "pop" we are all after. I could not see using it to hide swirls.

As for the "company" that makes it; "The Detail Shoppe" -they are very strange. I think they went out of buisness. I sent them many emails and they didn't respond. Now their website is "under construction" - been that way for many months. The two sources I know for this product is Pak Shak (sometimes) and Amazon.

I was thinking AutoGeek should formulate a "glaze" like this for the Wolfgang line, with those "German super polymers". We would all buy it - we all drink the Kool Aid and love it.

I did a "Wet Glaze 2.0" search in Google and it came right up.
I've been using this stuff for years and I love the look and feel.

It's a polymer gloss enhancer so you can put it over & under.
I've put it under and on top of sealants and on top of 'nubas.

By itself it lasts about a month...not bad for gloss enhancer.
Did anybody mention how easy it is to apply and remove?

I've mixed it in with sealants and waxes & still had durability.
It does fill a little. Unlike Black Light it contains no abrasives.
 
Any one want to trade some for some Meg's #7? I have a bottle that is 99% full.

Have you tried Griot's Garage Paint Glaze? 3M Imperial Hand Glaze?
