Help with New Towel recommendation please

Hello,

I need help in choosing the right towel for specific job.
I tried SASQUATCH MAXIMUS and they didnt work out for me. Shame it didn't workout, they were so soft and fluffy, had to return the whole order (16 pieces) due to lint and fine hair from them.

I need towels for was hazed and or wet Wax removel, QD buffing, and all around cleaning such as door jams, under the hood...etc...


Towels will be used mostly on dark colored vehicles.

Here is a link for AGs towel chart, it divides them into categories per use.

Microfiber Towels Comparison Chart

After your new towels arrive, wash them before you first use them, that way to prevent from lenting. I would recommend using blackfire,chemical guys, or microrestore microfiber towel detergent. If you dont want to use a dedicated detergent, use a laundry soap that has no fabric softeners or bleach because that will mess with the fibers. When drying use either no or low heat.

Yeah i saw that, been there for years....the chart states only 1 microfiber towel for wax removal. Might need to be updated.
I have been using the arctic white microfiber which i bought from Autogeek in 2009,(blue silk band then), and i think they need to be retired. Thanx for the tips, i only use Micro-restore on my towels and bonnets. and i hang all towels to air dry.

I saw some really thick towels from other websites, just wondering if anyone owns any and what he or she is using it for.

I'm not a fan of Cobra towels. I really like the Meguiars wax removal towels !! I also use their waffle weave drying towels. Just my .02
 
I really like the rolled edge microfibers for polish and wax removal. The flat weave type towel is great for polish removal as well as they have never linted for me. For jambs, interiors and under the hood I use towels that you get in bulk at Walmart or a store similar to it.

I have many of those, they lasted about 6months for me, now i se them to clean door jams and interior. they got rough on me after washes, using micro restore.

rolled edge towels huh, i might look into that. I too buy the bulk for non critical areas, from BJ's.
Are The rolled edge towels soft with sum thickness to them?

Currently im using Zaino's blonde towels, not sure if you have used them...but very nice towels but the price is a little high for me.

Zaino Blondes probably the cream of the crop. Just make sure you never buy towels with seams or edges. In time they will put swirls in your paint. I also avoid those long nap fuzzy towels.
 
Look to the Sonus white/red border towels. Simply plush enough not to scar paint, and thin enough to make wax and polish removal easy.
 
Under the hood, door jam's, and any other spots that are or get very dirty, I use griots micro fiber cloth value pack. 40 bucks for 50 towels. You can reuse them over and over and not have to worry about ruining your good towels.

wax removal I use cg yellow towels, griots white towel. polish removal or glaze, I use griots yellow towels. quick detail I use griots blue towels and cg sasquatch towels. I haven't had a problem with them. They work well.

I had problems with the sasquatch towels, linting and fine hair shedding all over my vehicles, maybe bad batch of towels. They were amazing towels. You have any issues with those towels?

yes, the Zaino blondes are amazing towels, its just a little crazy paying 8.00 a towel...6 of them is crazy enough for me 2years ago.

This might sound a little crazy, but i dont mind putting swirls on my vehicles, if i don't then i wont be able to buy things here at Autogeek<g> and have fun polishing and waxing.

Kewl towels i have used those towels a while back about 5yrs ago...they are great towels for wax removal, but they didnt last long.

The purple AG Cobras are nice; so are the black and grey 600 gsms and they don't lint. Also, they have a very "substantial" feel to them. I like to try a bunch of different towels from different places, especially when they are on sale. Microfiber Tech and Rag Shack have some great deals / towels as well. However, for the best towels, look for one's that are of 100% Korean origin. I got some Korean towels from Rag Shack and MF Tech and you can really tell the difference. They just are softer and nicer than any Chinese origin towel I've tried. However, they do cost more. Pak Shak probably has the best reputation out there for towels, however I personally have never tried them. They do look like Korean Microfiber though. The new AG "Woobie" towels look nice as well.
 
you don't have to overcomplicate things, get a dozen soft microfiber towels (you have plenty of places to choose from) in the 350-360gm range and you'll be fine, they can be used all around for everything...

Yes those purple ones (lavender) manly ones look good...im waiting for someone from AG to get back to me, still waiting...maybe i should send "HIM" another email.

make things complicated...that is!...hehehe...
I always do, dont know why...wife says the same thing...

The sasquatch towels do have a lot of lint and crap lol. I will admit they are worse than the griots speed shine towels. But it wasn't too bad I guess. I still love them and have 3. when I say worse, I mean the linting. They are great towels though for a QD. I will try out the cobra towels next and see
