Supernatural vs 476

Make 915 your high end wax. I love the stuff, maybe its in my mind but it does appear glossier than 476.

In that case I love Mothers Step 2, a pure sealant.

Interesting thread!

Who is to say what is or isn't a high end wax tho.............Think that comes down to personal opinion. So keep that in mind............

I thought it to be interesting as well and you did ask the same question I thought of; What makes a wax, "high-end?"

Dr. Oldz knows more about waxes than you can shake a stick at. When he asks you that type of a question you'd better be asking yourself why he asked it.

My point is;
Many people in "my neck of the woods" tend to look for water beading as an indicator of how well a wax is working. Then, for those same people, the next indicator would be the longevity of that beading. If you could do a blind-test and show them photo's of water beading before and after waxing, them show them the same panels with a photo taken at a later time, most people are going to tell you the product that beads the most and longest time frame is working the best. I would tend to agree with them.

I've seen many example photo's (50/50 shots) on this forum and others where certain waxes can provide a different look than another wax in a side-by-side comparison. So, certain waxes do have qualities that make them different or set them apart from others.

Lots of people on various foums rave about the longevity of Collinite products, and many provide proof of that longevity. That certainly puts them in a category of their own, at least in my mind.

If you're going to compare these two waxes you might be better served to compare the Supernatural Hybrid with Collinite 476...

...Actually, I bet Dr. Oldz could give us a comparison.

Here is the real question! Would the level of customer you cater to appreciate, require or even notice the difference. :hungry:

#915 produces stunning results, even on my car w/ so many other products on it, I can see a difference with #915. Oh yeah, not sure if #915's price makes it "high end", probably not but what DOES make it high end are the results and they can't be argued with, period! I applied another coat of #915 on Friday morning and when getting to work today I inspected my car in the high noon sun and walked away shaking my head!!!

I will be using #476 in Novemeber to prep my own car, as well as the future wife's and close friends rides, this will be a "true" test for sure as all the cars, besides my own, will be outside 24/7. I believe #476 will impress the hell out of me once again!

Price shouldn't determine "high end", just because it costs a lot, has fancy packaging and "groovy" play on names, doesn't mean its high end IMO.
