I did, but same thing keeps popping up, some say is a AIO, then some say if you use it by machine it has some cut, the you got the ones that swear it has no cut ect...

I know that. And with this thread you'll probably get responses saying it's a glaze, glaze and sealant, and AIO, or it can be layered or cannot be.

A mystery product...

Maybe that's the reason a lot of guys top it of with some kind of wax/sealant. Weird product :s

2 weeks ago, I stopped by the Chemical Guys showroom in Inglewood with my girlfriend while we were down in LA. I asked the guy helping me if I could do the following process (in order) on my swirled out daily driver:

1. Glossworkz Glaze
2. Black Light
3. Hybrid V7

He said that Black Light is a GLAZE and wouldn't make sense for me to use it after the Glossworkz Glaze. In addition, if I were to use Glossworkz Glaze, I'd be better off following it with a sealant such as Jetseal. On the other hand, Black Light and Hybrid V7 can be used as another combo on their own.

I was a bit bummed out when I found out that I pretty much have 2 glazes. :bash:

I hope this helps in understanding/finding out what Black Light really is....Or it may just add to all the confusion. I will state that I have a feeling if I asked the other employee what Black Light is, he would've said something different from what the other guy told me. :dunno: They were all good people there though and very friendly.

For those who are reluctant to use this product for whatever reason ...fine, it just means more product available for those of us who love it.

I think Im going to give this combo a try on my new car, it has no swirls, but on my research i've seen a lot of good reviews on the depth and high gloss this combo produces on a good condition paint.

It's such a mystery even CG doesn't know what to classify it as. I am under the imoression that BL folled by Glossworkz glaze, then topped with a nuba or V7 would make more sense then glaze first and BL second. am I wrong in this assumption? Silverfox I know you are a big CG fan so I hope you can clarify this

It's a glaze with minor finishing abrasives which become useful when applied at a higher with slight sealant properties
It's really just a glaze though.

Maybe someday the management there will realize that their hyperbolic product descriptions confuse customers, and even employees.

I agree. CG even lists it under glazes on their website.

Although it can be hard to see through all the smoke from the hyperbolic grenades they launch.:bolt:
