Black Light advice.

Yea the v7 really DOES add that kick at the end. Just when you think your paint is smooth, hit that paint with v7 and its just unreal.

The butter wet wax was easy to apply and easy to wipe off. Plus the smell is intoxicating lol.

For me to really judge this wax, I have to use it by itself. so it's hard for me to judge if this wax since it was stacked with black light and v7.

I do believe the v7 did enhance everything. The butter wax isn't that expensive. I say give it a go. But I really want to try this wax out on its own.

Next month I will rewax my daily. Strip everything off start fresh with cg bww and nothing else.

cg 50/50 is another product that I need to add to my collection. Another reason why I like to use v7 last, is because, its almost like a final buff. anything that was missed, or whatever will get cleaned out and have a flawless finish.

v7 is a quick detailer as well. so for me, it just makes sense to use it last. Then for piece of mind, I feel it will seal all my hard work

I am going to give it a try. I still have a couple other sealants and waxes to try so it may be a couple months. Please let me know how it works as a stand alone.
 
I have black light but haven't had to use it yet.
I use Jet seal, followed by Pete's 53 and then V7.
I use V7 after every car wash.

Three days ago I used Jet Seal and Lava for the first time on my fathers Mica sunset brown Toyota Venza. I'm waiting for it to rain to compare the beading after the Lava. Problem is it looks so good my father wont take it out of the garage.

After the rain I'll wash again and apply V7 if that day ever comes.

Pete's is a very easy wax to apply and remove.
The Lava look is a bit better but applying it is an art.

I'll snap some pictures tomorrow to add to this.

You can't go wrong with CG products! Hope you enjoy them as much as I do.
 
Not to hijack the OP's thread, but I have a couple of questions on this topic:

1. Do you really need a third wax (like Pete's 53) with the BL + V7 combo to get that extra pop, or does the BL V7 work just as well without another wax in the mix? I'm looking to get that "can't stop looking at my car it's soo glossy" look?

2. Does the BL V7 combo perform well on a daily driver, say, with some minor swirls on it, or do you have to have pretty much a show car finish before you use them to get that awesome look? I know paint prep is the most important part of achieving high gloss, but just wanted to see if it could take the DD to the next level, even with the minor swirls that DD's normally have...

Some say it will work on minor imperfections, I didn't have such luck with very light stuff. I do like it as a glaze!

I always just used blacklight as a glaze then sealant and then a LSP...

M favorite combo using BL was: Blacklight > BFWD > PSSII

Blacklight is a hard product to classify. It has a small amount of abrasive built in to the formula. It provide protection and it also fills. I use Blacklight mainly as a gloss enhancer. Since I have OCD, I usually back this up with a dedicated sealant or wax. When I layer a wax over a sealant....I mainly do it for looks. The wax being a sacrificial layer is an added bonus.

Here is an example of Blacklight on a DD.

Correct order is backlight, v7 and then the Pete's I know I'm late and everybody's probably already told him but whatever just wanted to post it!

If you look in youtube and do a search typing: chemical guys winter, theres a series of videos showing you how to prepare your car for winter. The steps the spokesperson for cg uses are the following:
1. jetseal
2. blacklight
3. celeste dettaglio(in this case pete's 53)
4. v7
