Could I get some of you guys to critique a new stup that I would like to purchase? I am very familiar with the M105/M205 combo but I am wanting to take it to another level. I am planning on picking up the 3401 and the 5 inch hybrid pads to go with it. I am wanting to try out the Menzerna lineup for my BMW and others.

Hybrid orange Intensive Polish PO 91E
Hybrid blue Final Polish PO85U
Hybrid white Super Finish PO 106FA

Thoughts?

m105/m205 is a great combo. The next level is jeweling with 106fa or preferable PO85rd aka SF4500.

Wolfgang twins is another great combo, but if you must try Menzerna, I would recommend SIP PO83 aka IS1500 then finish with 106fa aka SF4000. This has been my best and favorite combo if the car has good to excellent paint.

To make your choices even more tuff, Optimum Hyper compounds and polishes are also killer.

For heavy defects, I still use Powergloss or M105 with MF pad.

I am wanting to get the maximum level of gloss out of my 07 BMW. It is my toy car that I hardly ever drive. I have WDGPS and Fuzion and want to pick up the new DGLS. So what would be my Ultimate finishing procedures? Also have Souveran on the shelf.

i would just get the Menz 4500 and call it a day.

my fav. 3 :
1500 compoud/polish
4000 Swirl/holograms
4500 Gloss inhancer

What is the difference between Powergloss and M105. I have 105 using an 4 inch orange pad with PC but some of the scratches are not coming out. Does the Powergloss provide more cut and thinking about going with a yellow pad.

m105 is a bit more aggressive than the Powergloss.

Like stated above, PG has more cut than 105. PG=rocks in a bottle. You can feel it if you rub it between your fingers. Just know that there are very few situations where you will need to use it. My bottle only gets used once in a very long while.
Don't forget, there are 2 ways to increase aggressiveness: Product and/or Pad.
So, before reaching for PG, use a wool pad with M105. That will product better cut than a foam pad with 105 will. Only if that doesn't work should you be reaching for the PG. At that point you'll be dealing with either very hard paint, or very deep scratches, or both.

Are u sure? I think PG are more cut then #105:p i have both if i wan more aggressive i use PG, rather than #105:xyxthumbs:
Yes. PG with wool is the strongest combo you can get. It is more aggressive than 105 with wool. You can finish down pretty nicely with 105 and wool, but with PG and wool, you've got work to do from that stage. I usually follow that stage with 105 and a yellow Buff and Shine pad adn then onto M205 for the win.

I use 106 for one steps, otherwise I use 85 for jeweling. I often combo 205/85rd. I agree PG is very aggressive, I've used it once and that finish was so bad sand paper would have been an improvement over the scratches, swirls, rids and holograms.

Menzerna powergloss is great but cuts too much, use PF2500 with a cutting foam pad then switch to a polishing pad and repeat with PF2500 or us a finishing pad and SF4500 for the last step. Work a lot better and faster then Meguiars M105/M205 combos.

I'd have to dissagree that Power Gloss is "rocks in a bottle". It is my go to cutting compount. With the right pad it can finish pretty dang good. I compounded a 07 Corolla the other day and used PG with a white pad on the hood and roof to remove some pretty severe water spots and swirls. It finished out ALMOST lsp ready. Went back over it with p0203 on white pad to amp up the gloss just a little. Honestly I didnt see where it made much difference.

Thanks for the feedback Gentlemen. I have the Wolfgang twins along with the Meguiar's twins to play with. Now I need to do some side by side work and see how they handle. I will have to get some 4500 as my black paint is very soft.

Yup if we use PG then added more step to remove PG marks, but i usually not use wool pad sir, it's verryyy aggressive juct use megs cutting pad/or LC yellow cutting pad good enough to correct the paint:dblthumb2:

I used PG last weekend for the first time on some very deep scratches on a 2006 Dodge Ram MegaCab that was Black Pearl. I used a yellow LC foam pad with PG and I was amazed at how well it finished! No holograms and little hazing after wiping it down. I followed up with SI1500 on an orange LC foam pad and that took care of anything left behind from using PG. Just to be certain SI1500 didn't leave anything behind, I then continued with SF4000 on a blue LC foam pad. I was taken back by how well all these products worked alone, but as a team they really compliment eachother.
