I got a 2013 boss 302 which I try to baby beyond belief to avoid swirls and scratches but apparently in my last watch I got a 10-12 inch long scratch in the clearcoat on the hood. I noticed it while putting wax on it. I believe it was caused by something in my new wool wash mitt. Is there an easy way to remove this scratch? I got products for swirls and heavier scratches but I think it's too intense for this issue. I got some good polishes as well dodo, Wolfgang, and cg blacklight. I'm also doing this by hand. So any advice is welcome.

Man I hate to hear that. Does your fingernail catch in the scratch? If not, a polish or compound should take it out

While it probably wont remove it, I've had good luck with Meguiars Scratch X with a microfiber applicator greatly reducing the appearance of heavier scratches. I've always been hesitant of sanding.

Hopefully someone with more experience can offer a solution that will get rid of it!
