I have to admit that after detailing my silver Audi and my white Accord before that, I was excited to wash my wife's brand new Accord in Modern Steel Metallic. I figured that after working on light colored cars for so long, it'd be more rewarding to detail something that should pop a bit more.
Products used:
Foam Gun - CG Wash&Gloss
2 five galllon buckets with grit guards
CG Citrus Wash&Gloss (5 oz) + ONR (1 oz)
CG Diablo Wheel cleaner
Daytona Speed Master brush combo
PBW wheel sealant
PBW Bold N Bright tire dressing
Blackfire Wet Diamond Sealant
Lots of MF towels of various colors and plushness
Waffle Weave towels
My 12 year old son had a friend over so I didn't have my usual helper. (He's quite good, but it costs me between 10-15 bucks for his work--well-deserved.) Picked up the car yesterday and as I said above I was really looking forward to this job. I am thrilled with the results--and so was my wife. Here are a few pics:
On a side note, we love the car. My wife traded in her 2005 Odyssey for it, so it was bittersweet--the end of an era. Kind of acknowledging that the kids are growing up.
