So this is my first "real" detail. This is my wife's car, 2007 never been detailed, washed by a tunnel car wash 95% of the time. Sorry for the pic quality, there were taken from her iPhone. Tried my best to make it as good as I could.

Looks great!! No before pictures?? What products did you use?

Thanks!!! This car I started working on it about 2 weeks ago and forgot to take pics when I first started.
Products used:
1. Meguiar's Ultimate Compound (using PC7424 XP)
2. Menzerna Final Polish PO 85U (using PC7424 XP)
3. Black Light (by hand)
4. Pete's 53 (by hand)
5. V7
P.D. The work lights I bought on HD, worked perfect, I could really see what was going on.

Lighting while your working makes a huge difference. I understand being anxious to get started on the car and forgetting before pictures. Car looks beautiful. I bet your wife was thrilled with the outcome.

For my car i will do the before/after, but mine is a 2012 so I wont expect too much.

Your using blacklight, V07, and Pete's on yours right?

The excitement is written all over this post! :props:

Your wife's BMW cam out great and I'm sure both of you were impressed! :props:

Tell me, how long did the complete detail take you? I'm curious because you did some using your Porter Cable 7424 polisher and some by hand...:dblthumb2:

Thanks BobbyG, it took me 3 days. I did the compounding and polishing about 2 weeks ago (saturday and sunday), had to go on a trip las weekend so this sunday I "finished" the job. The wife could not believe it was her car, she thought I put somekind of glossy liquid plastic to the paint jajaja.

Looks great! I miss black cars.... Sorta ;)
It looks black, but actually is a blue car. it had that effect that with sunlight looks blue and at night looks black. I've noticed that it had lost that ability of "changing color" but since detailing it, I see it got it back!!!
Yes SIR look,s very good to me
Thank you very much!!!
Great result on a great car.
Thanks!!! Love the car, I dont drive it that much but when I do I really enjoy it.
Fantastic looking.
Thank you, lots of hard work and trial and error
