Guess the year of this old 2-door Ford...

I know it's not a 64...I had one of those. I'm pretty sure 63

It could be a 63 or 63 1/2 depending on the roof line it has . A Sport top or convertible looking hardtop was introduced so Ford could use it in Nascar. Some were R-code hi-rise 427's with top load trans missions and all aluminum front ends. The 63 1/2 was also offered in a 390 and 406 . Won't be able to tell without seeing the roof line. But if I was a betting man and looking at the picture you can see through to the rear it has the smaller window of the 63 1/2 IMO.

I'm sure there has been a correct answer mentioned,I'm excited to see the year of the FORD and the prize being awarded :xyxthumbs:

You win!

Oh hell that's easy....1963........Now, is it an XL or an XL500?

Wouldn't that be something to have a 427 under that hood!! :props:

Close, 390 with 427 heads...

1963 Galaxie XL 500

They just don't build them like this anymore. A new Mustang the next best thing...

By the way, this thing drives as nice as it looks and it gets it on with the Big Block!

(At least that's what I was told)

:D

Congrats to the winner!

The Ford emblem on the grille is the hood release, if I remember correctly. Beautiful car!

There were a couple of blue 427s in town back then. One guy was going through the gears with all the windows down, and popped the back glass out from the wind! AAAH, the good old days!
